I’m losing my mind right now. I’ve had prolonged periods for 2 years now and had a ultrasound last Thursday 23/1 to check all is well. She found a fibroid and a tiny pregnancy. She advised me to do a test and that is positive.
Since then and before but I wasn’t paying attention I’ve had a pink/ brownish discharge every day. Just enough to stain a pantyliner and on Tuesday has proper bright red blood. It stopped and started throughout Wednesday. I lost my sh*t in docs yesterday and she signed me off for 2 weeks. I have a DS aged 10 and this is a much wanted baby as hubby has said no to anymore and actively pulls out every time so it is a miracle.
I had a blood test last night and that shows high level HCG level. I’m limiting myself to a pregnancy test morning and night and know it can show positive for a week after loss.

I have an ache low down and occasional cramping but nothing severe. The doctor is great and I had a scan on Saturday but too early to tell if viable. I have another scan on Thursday to see if the sac has grown.

I’m trying not to stress and the doctor has said that many people bleed throughout their pregnancy and have healthy babies.

Is anyone else having similar?

I had this. I'm 24 and I bled for 3 weeks straight. It was heavier than a period on some days and other days it wouldn't stain my pants but would be there when I wiped. For perspective it was weeks 6-9 and I had weekly scans at the EPU. I'm going to to lie, I know it's awful and it's the not knowing and I cried every night as I was so scared, but I have my 12 weeks scan tomorrow and everything seems to of settled down. I still get that ache, but I presume that's just everything changing.

Keep smiling, I'd go to an EPU if you can just for peace of mind

Thanks. I have lost all perspective. Because I had a scan Saturday GP won’t let me go again but I might just ring EPU direct tomorrow and see what they say.

If it was a miscarriage you would be passing clots soon after the bleeding started. That was my experience anyway. Started as brown blood which turned to passing of heavy clots and blood.
Maybe your bleeding is related to the fibroid or something else. Good luck

Try EPU - I managed to get a scan because I was so anxious.

Have things for any better @welshmercury ? Thinking of you x

TMI but my pad was clean overnight. It’s really brown, old stuff like end of period. They’ve moved up my scan from Thursday to Monday as I’m on phone to GP every day since I found out a week ago.

I had bloods which showed good levels HCG and I’ve limited myself to one pregnancy test a day now. I know that levels show for at least a week after.

I have been signed off work with stress for 2 weeks as I’m just losing my mind. I now feel numb and am steeling myself for bad news on Monday but still have a tiny flicker that my little miracle baby has grown.
