Trying to convince coming off the dreaded Depo

I've been off the depo for a year now and I still don't think I'm ovulating 😔
This is driving me crazy I'm taking ovulation tests the clear blue ones last month just said high fertility
And the tescos ones are getting darker than the other line 🙄
It's starting to drive me crazy!
I'm also wanting to put this on here to warn anyone that who wants to plan a family soon to come off the DEPO I really wish the doctors give you more information on it.
I want to hear positive story's of women coming off the depo and getting pregnant as I'm starting to lose hope.

I came off the depo injection in November and got pregnant without particularly trying in late September so around 10 months. I think this is fairly normal so I’m sure you will be soon. Were you on it a very long time? That might affect how long it takes your body to get back to normal.

I would advise against depo too as took me over 6 years after coming off it

Had no problem getting pregnant subsequently either

But it’s not just fertility it affects.
It changes personalities. It can change how you feel about your boyfriend or husband
It can affect your mental health considerably

Have you tried Vitex / chaste berry tablets?Kick started my ovulation in about 2 months after years on the pill and struggling with pcos.

I was on it for about 8 years 😕 not once did my nurse say about coming off it.

Infact, I was on it for 10 years!

I got Tegan at very quickly after coming off. I did check my temperature. But that was all.

Pregnant obviously!

It took me 2 years after coming off it conceive. Didn't start ovulating for 14 months then had really random cycles. But, once everything had settled down again it was only about 4 months of regular cycles before I conceived.

Stayed off it after that and when it came to try for DC2 it only took 2 months.

I agree, I've noticed how much happier I am now! Didn't notice before because I was on it for so long and when I met my husband I was already on it, we've both notice so much difference in my personality since coming off it. I'm wanting to go out again and have a laugh, where before I couldn't be bothered to do much.

It took 6 months for my periods to settle and exactly a year to conceive. But once I did, all was fine and I now have a bouncy toddler to show for it. It’s great while you’re on it but I really underestimated how likely it was to take the full year for fertility to return.

I was on the depo for 10 years, I came off in December 19 and changed to the pill, which I came off in June 2020. I’d read that it could take 18 months for body to get back to normal and to start ovulating. Used OPK’s and nothing in July, but August I had positives and now I am 5+5 weeks pregnant, so happened on 2nd cycle of being off all contraception. I was gobsmacked!
I think maybe because the pill helped me get back in to a routine - had no periods at all while on the depo all those years.
Can’t really suggest anything to help but just wanted to say it can happen, so please don’t lose faith.
I loved the depo while on it, but don’t think I fully understood the side affects of it - nor were they explained, so I wouldn’t ever chose it as a method again.
