Hi all due to sharp pressurising chest pain I have had to have a VQ scan however I only had half of the scan as advised because of pregnancy and the injection dose I was given was very very low also what they give to pregnant woman. I searched online (google) and you can imagine the amount of dreadful stories that come up. I was reassured by staff that there was no risk to baby as the injection would only travel to my lungS and then leave my body through urine. The scan was electrical and did not have any rays. Has anyone else had this scan and was the advise the same. Feeling anxious and worried need reassurance that baby is not harmed? Thank you in advance if you are able to help at all xxxx

Yes! I had one at 14 weeks pregnant because of a suspected pulmonary embolism. The dose was a lot lower than normal and I was advised to drink lots of water to flush me out sooner.
I did the same googling that you did, DS is nearly 5 months old now and totally unharmed.
Good luck with the scan.
