i have memory foam and they're ok but hasn't been a miracle cure for me. i suffered bad back pain first few months until my bump moved forward. Now at 21 wks, I have pain inbetween my shoulders due to my giganta-boobs! even sleeping with bra and duvet between boobs doesn't help! I had no idea the lack of sleep would start in pregnancy! how silly of me! Last night i was up at 3.30am with a hot water bottle on my back. Hubby away tonight so perhaps i'll sleep better. I might try milky drink and hot water bottle before bed and hope that the back pain stays away tonight

Some things that help me sleep these days:

Pillow under the knee helps me, even though I never used to sleep in that position.

Milk (warm or cold) and toast or weetabix at bedtime or when I wake up in the middle of the night.

Hypnobirthing CD and/or relaxation exercises, done right before bed or earlier in the day (maybe right when you get home from work?).

I find when I wake up hungry it's best to eat and have a big glass of water, but I've always burned through food a bit fast, and pregnancy has only made it worse. I ban all lights of any kind from the room -- no glowing alarm clock, no blinking computer lights, no "on" power strip switches, nothing.
