Eclamptic Fit in first pregnancy

Hi everyone I am currently 25 weeks pregnant. In my first pregnancy I had an eclamptic fit 4 days after the birth of my child. There were apparently no symptoms beforehand apart from two episodes of me feeling faint/seeing bright light which at the time was put down to low iron.

This time I have been put on 75mg aspirin from week 12, which was later raised to 150mg. I have been told there is a risk of a fit up to 6 weeks after the birth . I talked to the consultant about it and they basically said there was nothing they can do, but if I feel strange I should contact them. Has anyone had different advice or experienced having a fit after labour?
Thank you

I can imagine they’d at least take regular bloods for the first few days post delivery to monitor what your bloods are doing and also monitor your blood pressure x

Thanks for the reply, yes that sounds likely. Apparently my blood pressure has always been perfect but spiked suddenly causing the fit last time.... Its just worrying me that it could take up to 6 weeks to show up. Luckily enough I was still in hospital last time it happened.
