I just turned 9w today but think I am having a miscarriage. The hospital sent me home and I have to go to the EPU tomorrow for a scan. Does anyone have any advice or can tell me what to expect from this.

I started bleeding after sexual intercourse on a Thursday had on and off spotting nothing major and period type of pain I had a scan on the Friday at 10am where I was told baby was measuring 6+3 and there was no heartbeat instead of the 12 I was meant to be bleeding and pain got a bit more worse but it was when I went to sleep I woke up at 1 in the morning and had really bad bleeding and pain for about 3 hours and that was the worst of it had some spotting after that. I felt really ill In those 3 hours I was sick felt dizzy and light headed. I know many people who have had some pain and light spotting aswell in early pregnancy and all has been fine! I really do hope it is good news for you, rest up maybe have a nice bath wishing you all the best in the future xxx

I hope you're ok! i had something similar at 15 weeks but the hospital was really quick to give me a scan, and luckily all was ok.
Did you go to A&E? You can insist on getting seen straight away..although that doesnt help now.
Sending you my prayers

Sorry to hear katie. Forgot to mention the vommitting happened to me too i was really sick with it and had contractions.

Amichelle84 · 16/01/2020 20:47

Sorry to hear that Katie and glad all worked out Abel. Yes, I did go to AnE and tbf I got dealt with really quickly. The triage nurse called the gyne clinic and they said it was ok to go home and come back in the morning. I'm glad to be at home, and realise they cant do anything anyway. It feels like it's been the longest day ever!

Thank you, just waiting to be seen. No blood loss since yesterday late Afternoon other than a small bit of spotting. I did just wipe a long thin stringy mucus type thing though...let's see.

Hi Op, good luck today.

Hoping for the best for you I had 5 weeks of bleeding from 7.5 weeks but still pregnant now at 26 weeks so it is possible to bleed but have healthy pregnancies. Hope you have some good news Thanks
