Intense pains in bum

As the title says! 🙈 I'm nearly 39 weeks and I've had this weird pain for about 6 weeks but it's really amping up. It's a mad intense pain, right in my bum hole (so sorry) that shoots and then goes again. It's different to lightening crotch. I thought it was just when I was slightly reclined back, baby probably nudging a nerve or something but it keeps happening whether I'm sat, lay down, stood up etc. It feels like somebody is dropping a spiky bowling ball in my bum 😂

Does anyone know what it is? It makes me clench everything I can and lose my breath when it happens

I've actually had this before but before I was pregnant! I've never known what it was but Usually o my lasts a few seconds. Takes away my breath

Think the term is javelin arse. Sorry no idea what causes it though 😂

Also had this recently and before pregnancy too I have no clue what causes it... Maybe a build up of gas or something?

Engard · 12/01/2020 18:03

Labour definitely feels like baby is coming out of your bum. He/her is just in position and preparing for an exit!

MashedSpud · 12/01/2020 18:09

I’ve heard it being called shooty arse.

BlueRussianCat · 12/01/2020 18:17

I get this, and I'm not pregnant!
