Hey everyone

I’m officially at the 8 week mark and since week 6 boy have I been feeling meh!! Does anyone else have this feeling.
I have been suffering so badly with sickness that’s not just the morning it’s an all day thing so much so I even went to the doctors yesterday because I just needed to know if there was anything I could take to make me feel at least half human! They prescribed anti sickness tablets which to be honest have not had much affect. I feel though for the last two weeks between the sickness and constant need to eat... I am hungry literally after I eat that all I do is get up go to work come home and get into bed because that’s all I have the energy for at the moment... does anyone else feel this way. I know it will pass but I was so used to going to the gym and I haven’t been able to do that so I think I just am having a little pity party at the moment lol

It's normal. Just got to get on with it

Have your pity party hun! It's tough being PG and feeling sick all the time, nothing like all the glowing pictures of prego women looking serene that we're sold! I think it can be especially hard at this early stage because a lot of us don't tell many people, so there isn't a heap of support.

Try and find a good midwife or GP who specialises in prenatal care and don't be hard on yourself. Right now you are growing a whole organ (placenta) and a whole human - eyes, skin, heart, brain, teeth etc etc. It's of course going to be tough on your body. Take what you need, make sure there are people around to love you and help you, and try all the remedies in the world until hopefully one sticks.

x

Thank you 🙏🏼 I defiantly think that’s the problem because at work no one knows either and I feel quite isolated that is my choice though but I was starting to worry that this is going to become my normal where I just feel lazy and rubbish all the time. I know it doesn’t sound it but I am happy to be having a baby over the moon but I had no idea I would be feeling like this. Just crossing my fingers at some point soon I’ll feel human again 😂

I know exactly how you're feeling, I'm 7 weeks today and have had pretty bad nausea for the past week and a half which means I've barely been eating. It really sucks, especially if you're usually active and have a good diet, but I'm trying my best to look on the bright side that this will (hopefully) blow over soon.

It's tough to have that attitude on the worst days and as far as I see it, we're more than entitled to a pity party! We're growing a whole human afterall!

(P.s I've found that peppermint rennies help with those moments where I feel like I'm about to vom!)

7 weeks today too :D

OP I feel you so bad. I've not actually vomitted once yet but I've had constant nausea since Christmas Eve, on top of that I feel like I'm coming down with something so it's enough of a struggle even getting out of bed.

This was much easier when I was 21.

I think it seems to have hit me harder as funny enough I didn’t imagine it being like this to begin with but then when it’s your first baby I guess you don’t lol 😂 you have this idea everything is going to be perfect but I’m far from that stage at the moment. I also think I need to just roll with it I’ve been worrying a lot about it so maybe I should just accept this is my new normal for a little while and get on with it.
Also has anyone heard of reiki healing? I’ve heard it’s meant to be great with morning sickness I think I might give it ago?
Congrats to you both as well everyone says it gets easier lol 😂 I thought the cramps would stop as well now no more periods but nope I had the worst one last night that woke me at 1.30
