Nursing chair - worth getting one?

First time around I found BF DD very uncomfortable no matter where I tried it/whatever position I was sat in due to stitches etc.

Now I am pregnant again (22 weeks) I am not looking forward to the painful and uncomfortable feeling from last time. I've noticed you can get nursing chair + footstool sets and wondered whether to get one.

Have any of you bought one? Think it was worth it? Notice any comfort improvement if you had stitches? Or, total waste of money?

Any advice much appreciated!

I found a bed in DS room was more useful for lying down & feeding.

I once sat in a Dutalier in Mothecare afte I had stopped BF DS and wondered if I ought to have had one - v. difficult to get out of it once in zzzzzzzzzzz

I did the lying down feeding thing with DS1 but I didn't her to get into the habit of sleeping with us (which was often the case when we'd both doze off) so stopped that.

I decided the nursing chair would be a good idea for this time around (baby comfy + mummy comfy = )

I got really sore bfeeding lying down, I'd nod off and dd2 wouls slip and chew my nipple. No problems in the chair though.

i have loved mine. makes middle of the night feeds so much more bearable! if you decide to get one, would advise you to get it asap so that you can enjoy it during pregnancy too.

i also used a Ikea Poang chair - alot cheaper than a nursing chair - needs a good cushion for under your arm though.
