Hi!

I'm 7 weeks 1 day, ever since last night I've been having abdominal cramps kinda like menstrual cramps but constantly, all night and all day, it eases when I'm walking around and busy, is this normal? No bleeding thankfully. It's my first baby and I'm so scared, would love some opinions and advice, thank you.

Hi - congratulations on your pregnancy!
I’ve been having these cramps on and off the whole time - I’m 8+4 now, and spent a lot of time reading about if there was anything to worry about. Everything you read will tell you it’s completely normal, plus my Mum friends also say they had similar cramps! Unless it’s accompanied by bleeding, think it’s just everything stretching and getting ready for your baby 😊 x

No advice really just reassurance to say that between 5-7 weeks I had such severe cramps and bleeding I convinced myself I had miscarries. I now have a very energetic 1 year old, so evidently not

Thank you guys so much, just knowing others have had it or are having it eases my mind, I can finally relax a little. Also congratulations to you too, I hope everything is going well xx

I've had cramps since 4 weeks. My midwife said only to worry if it's accompanied by bright red blood.

@sarahlouisewillx How are you feeling today? xx

They are 'implantation cramps' probably. It surprised me and I have since told every friend who has since fallen pregnant about them cos they are scary and no one seems to mention them!

If worried call your midwife tho, they run through a list of questions just to reassure you but the chances are it will be that with no other symptoms.

Talk to your MW but look up round ligament pain.
