Hi all,
New to this.. 8 weeks pregnant and have awful sickness. I've been vomiting for a week now. Can't keep hardly anything down including water/ juice.. I've been trying crumpets & butter, rice crackers ,ginger biscuits, melon, struggling with all of it & I'm really dehydrated and my gp keeps prescribing meds but has said next step in hospital.
I've been prescribed cyclizne but it just sedated me. Then buccastem but this has twice made me vomit. I really don't want to end up in hospital but running out of options.

Any tips on what to try an drink or eat which has worked with others?

Sounds like you might have HG so meds might be the only way forward. I just get normal severe morning sickness and for me, lemon flavoured things help, v beige bland food like cream crackers, pasta etc and most of all timing of eating. So there are times when I just need to throw up no matter what so I don't eat around then. Times when I can eat so I just try to get some nutrients down then. My morning sickness was worst around your time. I am now 13 weeks and I still have it but have had a 'routine' that allows me to get a decent level of nutrition for the past 2-3 weeks.

They suggest ice chips if you can't have water

I second cream crackers. I eat them first thing when I wake up and any time I feel it coming on. Mine is quite predictable such as when I’m hungry or first thing so I can kind of use it as a preventive measure. I haven’t got a sweet tooth so anything like a digestive biscuit or ginger just made me feel worse.
