Bleeding after sex at 8 weeks

So basically my partner and I had sex yesterday morning. Later that night when I went to the loo I had very light pink discharge over the pantry liner I had on and a little when I wiped. It’s as if there was a little bit of blood mixed with discharge. I know that bleeding after sex is common but is this something I should chase up? I haven’t had any bleeding or spotting since.

I’m my first pregnancy I had quite a bad bleed at the 6 week mark and went in for a scan. Luckily baby was fine and was told that my cervix was sensitive to the changes, hence the bleed. Maybe it’s sensitive in this pregnancy too?

Hi,

I have the same problen. Sex seems to trigger a light bleed.
It appears like a dark pink discharge and just stops completely....
I was so worried i went at EPU yesterday but they said nothing to do and i am booked for another scan next week.

Not very helpful but let’s say i know how anxious it can make you feel

I think we should just try (try...) to relax.

Happened to me with both my pregnancies and had early scans for both. They both were fine. They said it was because the cervix is sensitive.

Try not to worry but always get these things checked.

Both times I went to the GP and got the scans the same/ next day.

Good luck Thanks

It's because the cervix gets irritated. I had bright red bleed after sex early pregnancy (didn't even know I was pregnant at the time) if you havnt had any bleeding since and it was only a bit and no pain I would say this is probally the case of irritated cervix but nothing wrong with getting checked out just incase after all its your pregnancy/body and if it puts your mind at ease then maybe best thing to do x
