Morning,
I had a miscarriage around 8 weeks mid October. I now have been getting positives on first response pregnancy tests which have been getting progressively darker since Monday. I would say I’m still only 3-4 weeks.
This morning I have wakened up with a sharp shooting pain which doubled me over. It has passed now but I remember this being the start of my mc. Now I’m really scared, over analysing everything. My cm seems dry shouldn’t it be creamy?! Has anyone had a similar pain and gone on to be ok?
I know there’s nothing I can do apart from wait and see but I am just hoping for a little hope...! Thanks.

Hi Jomum,
Sorry to hear about your MC. Early pregnancy is wracked with worry as it is and a previous MC makes it infinitely more stressful.
I can only give you my recent experience but in early pregnancy (4-7 weeks) I had every pain under the sun: sharp stabs, full aches, cramping, pains twice as bad as my normally awful period pains. And everything was ok. In my experience early pregnancy is uncomfortable as things are stretching, hormones are raging, and your body is expecting a period that doesn't come.
Yes, some miscarriages start with pain, others are painless, so there is really no way of knowing and trying to second guess only leaves you in a constant anxious head spin.
So my advice is try to relax (as they all say, but I recognise that it's not really possibly at this stage). All the books and NHS advice says you only need to worry of you have pain AND bleeding. One or the other and all is probably well.
Good luck xxx

@Wanderer1 thank you for your lovely reply.
You are totally right..! I just wish I knew everything was going to be ok, but I guess we all feel that way!

Hi
Iv had two miscarriages this year.
I'm currently 7 weeks.
Between 4/5 weeks I had the worst pains Iv had since my mc. So sharp I nearly passed out and was trying to be sick. :(
It's the most anxious time after mc. I was on the phone everyday to docs panicking. They said as long as no blood your fine. But were concerned of ectopic as it was one sided. I had a scan at 6 weeks and all was fine. Even a heart beat. I'm praying this pregnancy continues 🤞🏻

So just wanted to give you a bit of positivity & hope. If ever in doubt phone doc or go to A&E 💐

Thanks @chloeemma. Wishing you lots of luck for a happy healthy baby!
I’m sure you were the same... I feel like every time I go to the toilet I’m waiting to see blood. It’s a horrible feeling. The pain seems to have eased a little, now wondering if it was a dodgy Chinese haha! (Positive thinking!)
