No morning sickness at 6 weeks?

I'm at the stage where everything is making me anxious! Got my BFP on the 18th of this month and then took another test on 22nd, both definitely positive. I've been getting period like cramps, sometimes bad but not debilitating and I've had a big aversion to smells and some nausea but no actual sickness. I've seen so many people say this should be one of the worst times for morning sickness but I've had none.

I was never sick in any pregnancy. Felt nauseated at certain smells at one short stage (raw meat, v strong odours) but that was it.
You will be fine. Honest

anothernamereally · 27/11/2019 18:33

Same as happytoday

SmileCheese · 27/11/2019 18:33

Stop worrying! I know its easy to say but you'll drive yourself loopy if you over analyse every stage of your pregnancy. I'm due in 3 weeks and have had no sickness at all, some people never do.

owlofathena · 27/11/2019 18:33

With my daughter I had no morning sickness at all. Only time I was actually sick was during labour. With my current pregnancy I had a lot of nausea during first trimester but was never actually sick.every pregnancy is different and try to worry about symptoms or lack of them. Iggy cramping us also very common as well

BeanBag7 · 27/11/2019 18:42

I had no morning sickness at all for both pregnancies, it's not that unusual - consider yourself lucky!

HappyAsASandboy · 27/11/2019 18:44

I've had two successful pregnancies (one with twins), two miscarriages, and am currently in my second trimester of another pregnancy. I've never been sick in pregnancy, though have felt a little nauseous at times in early weeks with some of them.

Sickness and nausea really don't affect everyone, and pregnancies can go just fine with zero sickness. I am so so thankful that I haven't had sickness with any of my pregnancies!

Bluebelltulip · 27/11/2019 18:46

Morning sickness can vary massively. In my first pregnancy it didn't start until 9 weeks. Some people don't get it at all.

Watto1 · 27/11/2019 18:47

Joining the group of people who didn’t have any morning sickness! Felt very queasy at times, especially when in the vicinity of a colleague who was over generous with his aftershave, but I didn’t actually vomit once.

astonishedzebra · 27/11/2019 18:51

I had no sickness until 8 weeks but then had it until I gave birth 🤢

Enjoy the sickness free time!

strawberry2017 · 27/11/2019 18:53

Period type pains will be the stretching of your uterus and the placenta growing and whatnot you will get those pains on and off for weeks. I've never had sickness just nausea.
Everyone is different, don't stress that your not getting a specific symptom or compare yourself to others. It's perfectly normal. Xxx

IScreamForIceCreams · 27/11/2019 18:57

I didn't experience any sickness at all - just couldn't stand perfume or aftershave scents or hot chocolate!. Enjoy being sickness-free though!

mumwon · 27/11/2019 19:02

no morning sickness for any of mine - dd didn't either - Luck!!!

GorkyMcPorky · 27/11/2019 19:02

No sickness at all for either of mine.

erised · 27/11/2019 19:05

Thank you everyone! Fingers crossed I stay sickness free.

I didn't get sick at all with dd2, with dd1 I had a little nausea but only for a couple of weeks when I drank tea

doublebarrellednurse · 27/11/2019 19:10

No sickness at all in this pregnancy and I'm now a very healthy 27 weeks. Was vile sick for 4 months in my last one.

Enjoy it!

bedtimestories · 27/11/2019 19:21

I had severe morning sickness (can't spell it) which didn't start until I was 8 weeks. Try not to worry

arethereanyusernamesleftatall · 27/11/2019 19:24

Congratulations on being one of the many women who don't get sickness. I didn't either.

By the time it got to my 12 week scan I was a bit concerned as to whether there waa an actual baby in there! There definitely was.

Got horrendous heartburn and SPD in the 3rd trimester...

Don't wish negative pregnancy symptoms on yourself!

Echobelly · 27/11/2019 19:40

I never really had morning sickness - just a tiny bit of queasiness at mid morning, after 6 weeks in both cases, and then with both pregnancies threw up once really heavily at the end of the 1st trimester. Apprently, that's when the placenta fully kicks in, which is why you don't tend to get morning sickness after that, and I think there must have been something about that 'switch' that made the throw up!

userabcname · 27/11/2019 19:40

With my first I got nothing until 8 weeks, then ended up with HG.
With my second the nausea started at 6 weeks and vomiting shortly afterwards.
Ime 9-11 weeks is the worst time for morning sickness.

Bluerussian · 27/11/2019 19:43

I only had one quick vomit in pregnancy, I hadn't felt nauseous but suddenly sicked up clear fluid. That was when I was only a week past missed period. Not everyone has morning sickness. Each pregnancy is different.

melissasummerfield · 27/11/2019 19:46

I had no sickness in all three pregnancies Smile

Congratulations Smile

firstimemamma · 27/11/2019 19:49

I had zero nausea or sickness through my entire pregnancy. I have a beautiful baby boy. Not everyone gets sick.

I think I read somewhere that morning sickness affects 80% of pregnant women. Maybe you're in the lucky 20%.

Drogonssmile · 27/11/2019 19:51

Congratulations OP! I had no morning sickness in either of my pregnancies. Worried me to bits both times but all was well. Try not to worry, I know it's difficult though Thanks

Lllot5 · 27/11/2019 19:55

I was only sick once out of all 4 of my pregnancies.
I walking down the road felt awful lifted up someone’s bin lid, was sick in it closed the lid and walked off.
Poor sods opening the lid later but I was too embarrassed to tell them.
