Sweep success stories?!

Had a sweep this morning..was very uncomfortable but she said my cervix was very thin, she could feel babies head and was 1cm dilated. She said she could’ve easily stretched me to 2cm as I’m not far off at all..
Anyone had a sweep and it been successful?! I was due yesterday so got my fingers crossed🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yep, had sweep at 5pm and baby in my arms by midnight. Good luck!

When I had dd2 I had a sweep late Thursday afternoon, lost my mucous plug Friday night, waters went Sunday afternoon. Contractions didn’t start so I was induced 24 hours later but the sweep set things going.

With dd1 however I had 2 sweeps whilst overdue, they did naff all!

With DD1 I had loads of sweeps and they didn't work.

With DD2 I had 1 sweep (which I requested and was very uncomfortable) and my labour started 10 hours later.

DD1 came out easier though and DD2 (planned home birth) got stuck with her arms up so I had to be rushed in via ambulance. I think I probably should have been a bit more patient with DD2.

Sorry, I had two and nothing happened. Could feel baby’s head etc but didn’t do a thing. Very disappointing. Ended up with emergency c section

Sweepnwith DS did nothing, but with DD I had a sweep at 12pm, was 3cm dilated already but could easily be stretched to 4cm, contractions started 12.30pm And she arrived 16.41pm.
