Early scan tomorrow....nervous

I booked a private early scan for next Wednesday just to give us some reassurance. Then I had my first midwife appointment on Tuesday and have been bleeding slightly since then. I called EPU yesterday and they are getting me in for scan tomorrow. I'm a nervous wreck, I am convinced that there will be no heartbeat. I've read so many stories saying this has happened to others and it's all been fine but I am finding it so hard to remain positive. Either way I think tomorrow will be a very emotional day 😢

Good luck op I hope everything goes well. Ive had bleeding a few times during including Monday just gone and I'm nearly 22 weeks some women do bleed also thrush and things can cause this x

@Jesskir89 thank you so much. I've had no cramps or pain so I'm trying to see this as a good sign. It's very light bleeding but still such a worry and don't feel anyone understands this hence I posted here as everyone is so supportive and kind!

How far along are you if you dont mind me asking? Just so your aware if before 7 weeks sometimes a heartbeat isnt picked up(not saying you wont see one) but just be prepared for that scenario just incase you are earlier... x

Good luck. I have an early one booked for next month after a MMC in July and I'm worrying too! Just know that bleeding in pregnancy is so common and is often nothing to worry about! I really hope it goes well for you Smile

Hey, just thought I’d share my story on here for you. Previous pregnancies I’d never had bleeding unless I was miscarrying, so when I went up to EPU last time I was sure it was gonna be bad news, but there was my little boy at 6 weeks with a little heartbeat. I actually continued to bleed every few weeks with his pregnancy up until 14 weeks and then it started again at around 24 weeks, he was actually delivered at 36 weeks because of it, however he’s a happy (if not clingy!) 5 month old now.

I know not every story of bleeding in pregnancy is a happy outcome, but there are some of us so I thought I’d share with you as I know exactly what that wait is like!

And also like someone else said I was warned sometimes they don’t even see heartbeat until closer to 8 weeks!

Fingers crossed all goes well for you tomorrow ❤️

I had a fairly substantial bleed at 9 weeks. I was convinced I was miscarrying again. 2 days later EPU scanned me and he was still there. Heart beating away, the think the bleed came from my cervix rather than him. He's due to make his appearance on Wednesday. Wishing you all the best OP.

Unfortunately not good news. The pregnancy sac was empty. They said by now we should see Fetal pole and yolk sac but nothing is there. They were quite honest and said unlikely to be positive outcome but I need to go back for second scan next Friday to confirm miscarriage. Feeling pretty numb right now. I have been told to expect full miscarriage between now and then so it feels like a waiting game. 😥

@newmum20 I'm so sorry to read this was really hoping for some good news for you. I know it doesn't seem it now but everything happens for a reason and your time will come. Mc is one of the horrible things we all dread in pregnancy and happens to a lot of us unfortunately. Sending hugs and best wishes x
