I'm 16 + 2 today and I'm having a 'Gender Reveal Scan' as I'm too excited to find out what I'm having! And know the 20 week is to check everything is okay with the baby so I wanted to make finding out the sex a bit more special.

I was wondering if anyone has had a positive experience with WTTW?

Thank you!
Thank you!

I had an early scan with them as I had to tell work really early due to my job and then I also had my 16 weeks scan with them too.
They were lovely and friendly, I got a wellbeing report each time and they were correct in that he's a boy! Was a lovely experience, really clear photos and they took the time to check where my placenta etc was and that my fluid was good. They also gave us a sneak at his heartbeat which I'd never heard before and a look in 4D so overall I had an amazing, more personal experience.
They also have an app that downloads all the scan photos to 😊

We used them and they were lovely. The staff were just so nice; Sonographer went through the scan in lots of detail for us as well, and the quality of the photos is excellent. We only really went to find out the sex (twins, it was driving us mad with anticipation!) but she also had a good look at them and confirmed they looked very happy and healthy in there which is always nice to hear!

@SparkleUK that's amazing, thank you! The package I'm going for includes digital photos, physical photos, 4d sneek peek, heartbeat in a teddy bear and a 'gender reveal box', so I'm really excited! So terrified they're going to tell me something's wrong though!

They are amazing!
I had my early scan & gender scan at babybond ultrasound direct and I thought it was nice but could be better.
There was an offer on WTTW for a 4d scan so I went there two weeks ago & honestly it was the most loveliest experience EVER. they didn't rush, I got so many prints of my little girl, even got two key rings. I paid an extra £20 to have a bear with her heartbeat put into it, they honestly took their time with me. They have soothing music in the room while you're having your scan which makes it such a nice atmosphere. When I was about to go home they gave me a bag with a baby's bottle, childs farm baby wash, coupons, tummy scrubs, baby journal & baby guides! I would recommend them over any other company no matter what! Honestly go for it. It's absolutely brilliant Smile

SparkleUK · 07/11/2019 13:38

That sounds amazing, definitely go for it!

Scans never got any less worrying for me unfortunately 😂 as I'm the biggest worrier but you just have to go with it, chances of something being wrong aren't as bad as we torture ourselves with most of the time 🤞

Bemystarlord · 07/11/2019 13:38

I used them with all of my babies from 2008 - 2015 and they were always so lovely. Felt a really friendly and personal experience and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend

Keyboard91 · 07/11/2019 13:39

Had our scan a couple of weeks back with them and highly recommend them! The process to book and arrive was really easy, the staff and atmosphere were calm and welcoming. I was really nervous (as I am before every scan) but they were really lovely about it. Was clearly a boy! They do a general well-being check (not as detailed as the anomaly) and I came away with lots of digital pictures and our choice of physical prints. They let us listen to HB and had a look in 4D (several of our prints were the 4D ones) which was magical :) They have lots of extras you can buy but at no point we’re they pushy about it.

So highly recommend them! We went at 18+1.

LH1987 · 07/11/2019 13:42

I thought they were brilliant, very kind, patient and really put me (a very nervous person) at ease. I would highly recommend their service.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 07/11/2019 13:44

We've had 2 scans this pregnancy with them they were lovely. The first one was early due to a previous loss and we got to see his wee heartbeat. The second was at 18 weeks where they told us we were having a boy. He's not here yet so I can't confirm if they were right yet. Both really positive experiences though and the pictures were really clear.

georgia19ox · 07/11/2019 13:49

amazing team very friendly and really took their time

Sleepyquest · 07/11/2019 14:09

I personally didn't like them.

I had an early scan for reassurance and they made me feel worse than I did when I went in and charged me £80 for the privilege. But a lot of people like them so I'm sure you will

R2D2abc · 07/11/2019 14:26

Had an early scan with them.
Booking was super easy on internet, the place was so clean and nice, when I had the scan they were lovely too, they were supposed to give me one print but they gave me to.
I would happily go there in future as I felt relaxed and in a nice environment ( but have extra scans with the nhs so no more need for this pregnancy).

ejmay90 · 07/11/2019 14:30

I've had a few early scans with them and have a 'gender' scan booked with them on 16th!
Never had a problem with them, really enjoyed my experience and after a previous miscarriage they made my early scan in this pregnancy very nice and explained so much it made me feel much better.

Enjoy your scan :)

I want to find out the sex but i want them to put it in an envelope as me and my partner are going away the weekend after and want to find out when were away.
Anyone who has had a sex scan will it be really obvious of the sex when we look? as don't want to ruin the surprise! i'll be nearly 17 weeks by the time i have it.

Lollypop10 · 07/11/2019 14:33

I’ve been twice. One was for an early scan at around 11 weeks. I had miscarried back in October 2018 so I wanted to make sure all ok. I’d had an ultrasound at 7 weeks due to a hematoma bleed,(so knew dates) I’ll be honest I left upset as they didn’t handle the situation with me right. They knew I was anxious. Then kept saying “oh you sure of your dates your very small” “this might take some time” I kept asking if there was a heartbeat and I was ignored. Eventually she said oh found it and turned the screen. The baby was fine a nice heartbeat and measuring bang on 11 weeks. I was annoyed as they said they wouldn’t say anything till knew what was happening but proceeded to make my anxiety hit the roof. I went to a different wttw at 16 weeks and they were amazing. So I do think it depends on where you go and what the person is like. I’ll be honest. I would never go back for an early scan again.

SparkleUK · 07/11/2019 14:41

@ejmay90

Mine was really clear at 16 weeks but I'd been drinking water all day and had more cold water and a cold fizzy drink on hand on the day!
If you don't want to know I'd imagine they will just tell you not to look whilst they're trying to find out for your surprise 😊

ejmay90 · 07/11/2019 14:47

@sparkleUK Oh wow yea!! Thank you, i will make them aware i don't want to know and not look!
I said to my partner as long as they say there is still a heartbeat and everything seems good i don't need to look!

Thanks :)

SparkleUK · 07/11/2019 14:50

@ejmay90

It's fine 😊
Yes, if I remember rightly, there was only the time they were actively looking for what he is when we could see it, otherwise they changed the angle so it looked like a more 'typical' side profile scan so you shouldn't get any early glimpses! They did a health check in mine too just to make sure everything seemed okay.
Hope your scan goes well

ejmay90 · 07/11/2019 14:53

@sparkleUK

That's what i thought may happen, just didn't want to ruin the surprise lol!

Thank you :) just over a week to go lol!

I had an early reassurance scan with them in Liverpool in August last year. The sonographer herself was very abrupt. I was only six weeks. I wanted to tell my mum but my grandad was dying so only wanted to tell her if it looked viable, hence the early scan. She tried abdominal at first, which was unrealistic really. Gave me an incredulous look and asked if I was sure of my dates etc. Sent me for a wee then did an internal scan. Said she could just about see a sac but nothing else and measuring too small. She had an assistant checking a chart on the wall, but the assistant didn't understand it and seemed really uncomfortable. The sonographer was quite rude really, both to me and the assistant.

They referred me on to the hospital, and I did go on to have a miscarriage a few days later. The clinic and most of their staff were fab. Sensitive and kind, and fantastic with my three year old. I wouldn't fault them as a company, just the sonographer was very blunt. With my next pregnancy, I chose to have a scan elsewhere, but that was more because I didn't want to go back to where I had unhappy memories.

Gretasim · 05/05/2020 15:57

I just had one today and i was so disappointed. They rushed through the scan. I booked for baby gender and well-being but the lady said that she couldn’t see it . To my understanding on their website it says they can reschedule if they cant see the gender when i asked to be re booked they told me to email some email and they just didint let me reschedule.

They are a SCAM!!

2020Aug · 05/05/2020 16:55

I have had a great experience with them, the team were lovely. I would recommend.

Wotsits4357542 · 05/05/2020 17:23

I went to them from 6 weeks till 12 and they were great! I’ve booked with a different place for my 16 weeks scan as window to the womb have said they can’t book it being the sole purpose of knowing the gender, they will tell if you want to know but won’t do a free rescan if can’t see it and won’t let you go out for a walk and bring you back in if they can’t tell on the day. So I googled and booked another place that are doing the gender reveal scans as normal x

MUM2019MARVEL · 05/05/2020 17:35

Hi, yes I did. I traveled for a while to get to the nearest one to me because I'd heard good things about the service they offer (and got a reduced price on a 3D scan) I got there and they were lovely people, I had the scan and baby was facing my back so they couldn't get a picture. They tried for over 10 minutes and offered me an ice cold water said to walk around the complex and go back in after the next person had their scan..I did so and baby hadn't nudged an inch so they offered me another scan and said to come back in a few days. I went back feeling like baby wasn't going to play nice again and he was facing the right way. Got some beautiful pics that I'm still to this day glad I went. I got to see baby in 3D and video they offered me 4 free prints In my package and they confirmed baby's gender. But they also offer an online service for you when you leave..it's basically you can see all your pictures online on a site they give you access via password to and you can then print them yourself which I thought was great if you don't want to pay more than you should for extra prints. I saved mine on a hard drive and got them all printed at a reduced cost from boots. I would highly recommend window to the womb :D x
