Epsom or East Surrey

Hey, I’m 5 weeks pregnant with Baby #1 and need to make a midwife app. My docs have told me they don’t see me at all and just to self refer to whatever hospital I want my care at. I’m unsure and choosing between Epsom or East Surrey. Does anyone have any recent experience that they can share on either?

Thanks

@MrsMoffett Congratulations! I don't have any experience of Epsom but am currently under east Surrey. An not fault them. Have had 1 appt pre booing in for blood tests, my booking in appt and recently my 2 week scan. I organised my 20 week scan on the way out after 12 week one. I'm also being referred to a consultant for issues I raised at booking in and will, in addition, be referred to another hospital for specialist monitoring. All staff have been incredibly friendly and helpful. Hopefully someone can give you their thoughts on Epsom so you can make a choice!

@Kayjay2018 Thank you and thanks for letting me know your experience so far. It’s really daunting choosing the place you are planning on giving birth especially as I have no experience of either. I currently live in South London but moving into Surrey early next year so trying to make the best decision.
Hope they continue to live up to expectations for you! Good luck

I'm under East Surrey and they've been great so far! The Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit is so hands on and helpful. I'm 16 weeks now and been under them since the start. They're also REALLY good at getting you in for quick scans.
