@kkl1 at 34+5 weeks ds was 6LB 3 and then at 37+5 weeks he was measuring 8LB 3 so they gave me the option to be induced at 39 weeks due to him being a big baby... he was born at 39+2 and he was 9LB 9 😬 not going to lie pushing him out was REALLY hard, DH said my head looked like it was going to pop 🥴 but I didn't even graze down there thanks to the midwife! He is very long x

They do say your babies get bigger with each one.. not always true but also estimated weight on growth scans are not always correct either. I had a 9lb 8oz baby and to me it was the same pain as having my 7lb 11oz baby 🙈 this time this one was already eat at 2lb at just 25 weeks so I'm estimated to have a 10lb+ baby. As PP has said you might get the option if being induced early x

I had a growth scan with my first DS (and will have to one with this one for the opposite reason) and I was told that they could be out by 1-2lbs either way! That was 10 years ago so maybe the technology is more accurate now? DS was predicted to be very small and he was 7lb6 at 41+6 so not huge but not worryingly small.

Also, there's a theory that bigger babies can help gravity along in labour. That will definitely be my mantra if this DC is predicted to be big (risk of GD this time round)

Hey all I had a dd that was 9.6 and I really struggled to get her out and I'm just worried about this baby being bigger and harder lol right now I'm on the birthing ball I'm gonna try to get things moving lol
