Positive then negative tests but no period

Hi everyone, looking for some advice/guidance.
Two weeks ago today I started feeling really sick so did a pregnancy test, it was positive, another the next day and that was positive, Over the next ten days I had really mixed results and two at the doctors cane back negative although I then came home and did another and that was positive, so in total 8 positives over a period of ten days, feel like the doctors are making out in nuts. I’ve now started just getting negatives myself. However I’m at least 5 days late for my period, if not 4 weeks as I’m unsure if the time before was actually spotting. I’ve had mega pregnancy symptoms (have two children so I know what is and isn’t) but just can’t seem to get any answers. Can anyone please offer some advice on what to do next? Thank you!

Can you ask for a blood test to check your HCG levels?

The positives you’ve been getting... Are they really dark positives / varying darkness / incredibly faint? Were they all using the same brand of test?

I believe the hormone the tests check for reduces once you're a few weeks along, so the tests would show negative even if you're pregnant.

Could it of possibly been a chemical pregnancy? As pp have said have you used the same test or different brand as they all have different sensitivity... if your only 5 days late but been getting positives for 2 weeks I perume you have been possibly using frer as they are most sensitive before a missed period. I would either wait to see if you get your period soon or go back to the gp and explain altho their tests was negative you have had 8 positives and ask for blood tests to be done so you know for sure c

Thank you for the responses everyone.. so I asked for my bloods to be checked twice and for some reason my doctor just said no we’ll just do another urine test.. I went to a family planning clinic on Friday where they said the doctor should have done the bloods, funnily enough I already had bloods booked but he just refused to test for hcg! So I had I think 7 or 8 positives, the first two I did were actually the strongest which is why I think maybe I’m actually weeks late for my period rather than a few days I feel like maybe it was spitting before, the first two positives were boots own brand (supposedly test at 25miu+) then I had two first response positives then four clear blue digital negative then two cheap freedom tests one came up positive then a negative then went doctors came up negative then came home did another boots own brand came up positive now I’ve done two first response again and now they are negative. Still no period. I’m thinking should I just wait a week or so and book a private early viability scan to see what the he’ll is going on? I don’t think it’s a chemical as I’ve had such strong symptoms, I had positive tests ten days apart which surely means it had implanted and no period... I feel like possibly I could be getting the negatives because the pregnancy isn’t progressing but my body just hasn’t realised which is why I’m not getting miscarriage symptoms yet?? Literally so confused and no help what so ever from medical professionals it’s consuming all my time wondering what’s going on I feel so pregnant but basically being told I’m not regardless of all the positives! I would upload photos of my positives but the doctor threw them away saying they were not valid!?
