It's just that I used to eat so healthily but since getting pregnant (17 weeks ago) I eat so badly. I can't stomach veg (apart from spuds) and while I love fruit it does nothing at all to stop me being hungry.

In fact I had a complete meltdown last night because I worry about the baby's health - yesterday I lived off noodles and cereal because that was all I could stomach (I still feel sick when I get hungry). Course, I take Pregnacare supplements so there is some goodness going in but am I the only one who has gone to pot on the grub front?

down the road they do battered mars bars too!

dal21 · 16/08/2007 14:16

i have never had deep fried mars bars! have always wanted one! scorpio - where are you?

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 14:17

Cornwall.

RGPargy · 16/08/2007 14:18

Well that was rather yummy!!!

I had a FOF, cheeseburger, medium fries and a medium strawberry milkshake. I'm thoroughly stuffed now tho!! That'll teach me to be a greedy guts.

Think i'll stick to my salad for tomorrow's lunch tho. TBH, my homemade ham & cheese salad was much nicer yesterday and the maccy D's!!

morningglory · 16/08/2007 14:19

In my first pregnancy, I ate very badly (McDonalds, crisps, cakes, muffins) because it was all I could stomach (normally, I eat very healthily). I gained very little weight.

This pregnancy, I've not been able to stomach fried or fatty foods, and crave fruit and veg. I'm only 13 weeks and weigh more than when I was 20 weeks with the first pregnancy (despite starting at the same weight).

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 14:20

FOF and a cheeseburger? my my!

was it goooooood? [dribble]

dal21 · 16/08/2007 14:21

nowhere in london does deep fried mars bars!

rgp - jealous at the milkshake!

RGPargy · 16/08/2007 14:26

Oh i meant to say that my salad was nicer THAN the maccy dees.

Was ok but now i'm feeling horridly full.

But the milkshake was luuuuuuush!!

PregnantGrrrl · 16/08/2007 14:41

pah, i have just eaten a huge bowl of.....fruit and fibre with banana and skimmed milk. It didn't feel naughty at all. I even avoided the biscuits when i made a cup of coffee. i don't know where this resolve has come from!

still having a can of bitter later though

RGPargy · 16/08/2007 14:44

PG - think i would rather have had that actually. Sounds nicer than a FOF!!

Naetha · 16/08/2007 14:48

We're having a housewarming party at the weekend, and we've decided to have jelly and icecream (we're both between 25 and 30 and have no kids already) and I am SO craving jelly!

And buttered toast.

And chip shop chips.

And fish finger sandwiches with ketchup.

RGPargy · 16/08/2007 14:51

Naetha!

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 14:52

you could do jelly with cream on top, and 100s and 1000s..... god i am so bad!

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 14:55

im making toad in the hole, roast pots and veg for tea. yum

RGPargy · 16/08/2007 14:59

Gone right off toads now. In fact i think i'm starting to go off meat again

Lately i would much rather have something snacky for tea than a big dinner.

Lorayn · 16/08/2007 15:02

roast chicken and parsnips for tea, plus mash made with double cream, yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum.

Naetha · 16/08/2007 15:03

I'm sorry I'm terrible today. I'm having one of those completely non-productive days where you get absolutely nothing whatsoever done at all (but hey, I still got paid for it - result!)

This is partly due to the fact I got sent this picture first thing this morning, and every time I think about it, I descend into helpless laughter.

Its perfectly safe for work and kiddies.

PMSL

Scampynoodle · 16/08/2007 15:05

You evil bloody creatures, putting ideas in my head! Jelly, fishfingers, milkshake, muffins, chips...I could stick the lot in a trough and just be face down for the rest of the day.

And as for the Homer Simpson tone, that's exactly who I sound like every time I say the C word (er, ships, that is).
