I just want to stand on a soap box for a minute, having a Csection is giving birth, don't let anyone try and make you feel like you didn't have a 'normal' birth. Its often the harder way due to the long recovery time. And anyway I've heard that stitches are even worse than a csection, at least you can sit down after a csection!!

Thank you all for your messages. I'm seeing my gp later today for an antenatal appointment. I think I'll speak to him about all this, my DH said it might be worth speaking to my obstetrician sooner rather than later about this. I'll be 36+3 the next time I see him. DH is worried that to get a date for caesarean I need to discuss sooner. It seems that September is a particularly busy time of year for babies, esp this September it seems! I'm hoping my GP can send a letter to my consultant.

I really appreciate the messages about me not being a cheat having a c section. Thanks ladies. x x
