Twinge/pulling pain in ovary area

Hi all,

I'm nearly 12 weeks and for the past few days have been feeling pulling like twinges in my ovaries, sometimes In the left one and then right and then right in the middle (lower stomach area underneath belly pouch lol), has anyone had this? I still get cramps on and off and lower back pain which hurts a lot sometimes! Had a scan due to a scare at 7+4 and saw baby with heartbeat but worried as I thought symptoms would die down by now? Have also started having (TMI) some cramps followed by yellowish discharge (waiting for urine test results from GP in case of infection).

Any advise on what this could be? X

I'm getting this daily... Infact right now! I believe its round ligament pain. Perfectly normal, please try not to worry Flowers

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 20:28

@AMALDO are you getting twinges too? Thank you for your response! Wish I could not worry but have really been holding back my excitement as the cramps are still there and super worried x

I'm 14 weeks now and have been getting pulling twinge type pains since about week 11. It's really hard not to freak out over it but everyone keeps telling me it's normal!

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 21:29

@janey15 if you don't mind me asking, have you had your dating scan? And did the twinges happen after or before?

Yes and had twinges before and since. They seem to happen more when I'm sitting, driving or moving from sitting to standing etc and they don't last long but I worry every time 🙈 Some have been quite sharp.
I'm on a thread for pregnancy after miscarriage and they seem to be really common from what people have said.
When is your scan?

rubyroot · 17/10/2019 21:49

Ive had loads of weird pains, twinges, cramps, doubled over in pain, pain. I think lots of strange abdominal pains are part and parcel or pregnancy. I'm 18 weeks at the mo and had all these pains during my pregnancy with current toddler too.

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 21:50

@janey15 ahh thanks for the reassurance! My scan is on Wednesday so fingers crossed, just scary as I'm looking forward to getting to the 2nd trimester 🤗

@loveyourself87 BTW I've had weird pains throughout, it's nothing to worry about in my experience x

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 21:51

@rubyroot thank you for sharing! Why is it so worrying? I wish I could just relax but scared of getting my hopes up! X

I'm 14 weeks and have had these twinges for about a month now. I mentioned it at my dating scan and was told it was perfectly normal! Just my ever expanding uterus Grin

rubyroot · 17/10/2019 21:53

@loveyourself87 we all worry about it I'm sure, it's entirely normal when we have something so precious inside of us. Good luck for your scan. It is scary before the dating scan, it's easier to relax a but afterwards x

Basil90 · 17/10/2019 21:54

Oh gosh I had this like crazy and it worried me so much. It was just round ligament pain!

Magpiefeather · 17/10/2019 21:56

Sounds like round ligament pain. I had loads of pains and pulls and twinges when I was pregnant with my (now 2.5 year old) DD.

Everything is stretching and growing and rearranging! It’s understandable there are little pains and niggles.

Hope your scan goes well and you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 21:56

@LikeTheOceansWeRise I was told a lot that it's the uterus stretching but it feels exactly like period cramps! Hate that feeling 🙈

Totally normal. Round ligament pain.

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 21:59

Thank you all x

I'm sure it's just your body changing to accommodate your little bab Smile I hope the scan goes well!

HopefulFor2020 · 17/10/2019 22:32

I'm 13+4 and just spent the evening complains about these stupid twinges and cramps. Sometimes they can be really quite painful. I did read earlier that growth starts speeding up now (baby doubles in size within the space of a few days which is pretty significant) which could be why they're more noticeable maybe?

loveyourself87 · 17/10/2019 23:25

@HopefulFor2020 that does make a lot of sense and understandably if the baby is growing at a super fast speed that there will be pain and cramps! Hope all is well on your journey xx
