Sorry to highjack your thread kittenbaby - but it has been so useful! - just wondered if people could recommend WHERE is best to get this stuff? I am in fear of being the mug that just walks into Mothercare and buys it all there for far too much money. Sure there must be cheaper places? [skinflint smiley]

Caz10 - it's all a rip-off I'm afraid - I don't know of anywhere cheap - maybe have a look round the ebay shops? Alternatively, if you are a bit skint, feel free to cat me, and I'll happily bung you the virtually-new baby-gros that my DD refused to use.

Another huge fan of grobags here... you can use some of them from when the baby is 7lbs. I'm sure you're not supposed to put blankets or anything over them though - I think you adjust the clothing that they're wearing rather than add blankets. Though don't quote me on that

re. moses baskets, I agree that they sleep better in cots. DD outgrew her basket in about 10 weeks and I definitely think your lo will be out of it long before 6 months, I'm afraid. I'm not sure if a rocking stand is worth it or not - for one thing, I think it's helpful for them to learn to sleep without being rocked. Also, they're in them for such a short time...

another vote for grobags - you can get them from birth now. we've just started at 6 weeks and won't go back. I would swaddle first few weeks then grobag - so much easier ans so snug.
