8 weeks - small bleed. Stopped now - should I be seen?

I’m 8+4 and last night I had a short bleed. Not enough to need a pad but red blood when I wiped and some in the toilet bowl.

It stopped after that and I haven’t had bleeding since then.

Should I still get checked ?

Yes

I wouldn't bother. There isn't actually anything they can do if you are miscarrying and it's unlikely to be ectopic in the absence of other symptoms.

Hopefully it’s nothing and many ladies get small bleeds in early pregnancy but I would go in and be checked for the reassurance if it was me, I know my midwife always says “ we are happy to see a worried lady and just send them home again than to not see them at all!”You will only be stressing otherwise!

I fly tomorrow (although only away for the weekend) il be ok to leave it to see if bleeding comes back until next week?

I'd get checked especially before you fly.
I'm sure you'll be fine but best to be sure.

RolytheRhino · 10/10/2019 14:42

Medically, there's no need for you to be seen at the moment, so if you feel happy not to go then you don't need to.

I’m not in any pain at the moment
I didn’t bleed with baby #1 so it made me panic seeing it but expected the bleeding to carry on if it was the worst

I had a bit of bleeding with one of mine early on. It is very normal, so there's no need to panic.
