10 week scan tomorrow - nervous!

I'm 10+3 and have a 10-week scan tomorrow as part of the Harmony test. The last scan I had was two weeks ago and I'm starting to get really worried that something won't be right. I've been feeling nauseous and tired for the last couple of weeks, but the strange pulling sensations I had in my stomach area earlier in pregnancy have completely disappeared. I'm not getting cramps anymore either. I just hope that everything is progressing as it should!

I hope all goes well with the scan tomorrow. My whole pregnancy so far has been one big worry. First trimester I always thought the worse. Then it got worse when I began feeling movements as now I panic if I don’t feel him as much! I’m 26+5 and I just think the whole thing is worry! What are we like! What’s the harmony test? X

Don't worry about lack of symptoms it doesn't always mean something is wrong. I only had heartburn from week 20-38 and sore boobs for 1 week but that was it! X

May I ask why you're having the Harmony test now? I had it as an alternative to invasive testing when our 12 week tests came back as high risk. Just curious x

Heartburn is my only symptom as well and my god it’s horrendous! It can have me in tears! If I didn’t get that I would forget I was pregnant! X

May I ask why you're having the Harmony test now?

I’m a big worrier and also an older mum, which I knew would push up my risk factor for Patau/Edwards with the NHS. I read a lot of posts on MN that said it’s good to do the Harmony early so that if the NHS results do come back moderate/high risk, you’ve already had the reassurance from the Harmony that your risk factor is low (hopefully). Whereas if you wait to do the NHS test and then have to do the Harmony after that, you’ll already be about 15 weeks into the pregnancy by the time you get the results IYSWIM. I don’t think I’ve explained that very well - hope it makes sense!

My last scan was a reassurance scan at the EPU because I was having some light bleeding. That has stopped now but it’ll be the first time I’ve seen the baby since then. Fingers crossed...

Best of luck. It is completely normal IME for that strange pulling sensation to suddenly stop.

With both my pregnancies I was very pleasantly surprised to see a wriggly bean on the scans as I had convincing myself all could not possibly be well.

Good luck today @tacosplease

Good news - the scan went well, the baby is measuring just under 4cm and the sonographer said there’s a strong heartbeat! Due date is the same as last time. I’m so relieved!

It’s amazing how much more like a baby it looks compared with the eight week scan. I’ll be going back in two weeks to find out the results of the blood test - fingers crossed!
