I know this is (TMI) but I'm 35 +1 lost some of my mucus plug. Wanted to know if things are going to start.
With my 1st I lost my mucus plug at 5:00am on Wednesday and had my daughter on the Friday and 12:00am
So worried me abit but spoke to my sister in law who's a midwife and she said things might not progress for weeks. I've just got to wait it out but something has changed in cervix.

Anyone on here had this before and how long after did they have them preferably 2nd pregnancy? Hmm

With my first I lost some of the plug at 37 weeks and went into labour at 40+6. My friend just went into labour with her second 2 days after losing her plug. So I guess it can vary, good luck either way!

They actually can grow back lol

Lost mien at 32, went into labour at 35 weeks so it def can take weeks.
If the back ache gets worse or become rhymix I'd call hospital to get checked

Not 2nd but 3rd DC lost my plug at 35 weeks and he came at 40+2. The midwives were convinced he would come early but he just refused, even had to have my waters manually broken. So even though it can mean baby is coming it can also means nothing at all. So frustrating.

@SleepingStandingUp yh I didn't think anything of the backache until my mum said that's sounds like the start.
I'm hoping it's going to be weeks. Did you go to the hospital when you lost it at 32 weeks.

@PutOnAHappyFace it's so annoying I'd rather just know what's happening. With my 1st it was just normal went into labour at 39+ 4

@paige321 erm yes... BUT!!! I totally panicked and thought baby would come then, I was away on a training weekend in a small town and I just had an almighty panic attack. Friend offered to take me to hospital because I was so upset I think rather than anything else as I had ZERO symptoms of labour. If it happens this pregnancy I'd call my midwife or the unit and ask.

Chips4dinneragain · 07/10/2019 17:33

I think the backache and mucus plug combo combo might suggest it's nearer for you, I would call your midwife if I were you just to be on the safe side!
