I found out i was pregnant at 5 weeks and im now 7 weeks but since then i get little cramps now and again which sometimes can be quite sharp but then it stops and goes away. I thought this was normal but now im beggining to think otherwise. Theres no blood and when it comes its liturally for a seconds or a few minutes thats it. Is this normal??

@ksandls I can't say whether it is normal or not. I believe lots of aches twinges, pains, cramps etc happen to lots of ladies. For me it's normal and with my first pregnancy and this pregnancy I had quite severe left sided pain early on which proved to be nothing. Early pregnancy is so hard, because the things that are normal can also be a sign that things are not normal and every twinge, stitch, cramp yoh worry about.

@rubyroot i know thats the thing isnt it...you just never know and even if its not normal theres nothing much i could do about it. Ive just calles my mother in law and she said she had it with all 3 of hers so i feel abit better now and im sure if it was anything bad i would have seen blood especially with me feeling it pretty much everyday over the last 2 weeks.

Yes I think, unless it's severe cramping with bleeding then treat it as normal.. The first 12 weeks is the hardest.

@rubyroot we got a private scan from groupon for next friday so hopfully if we see what were hoping to see with a little heartbeat then it should be ok from then on 😊

Yes very normal

I'm nearly 8 weeks and I had bad cramping weeks 4&5 and still now have occasional pains but it happens a lot less. As long as there's no blood I think it's normal. Congratulations!

Thanks! It's really exciting but I'm so anxious. I saw the heartbeat on Tuesday and I still worry all the time Blush. Hope you are feeling okay other than the cramping.

@Becauseltlz aww thats amazing we cant wait for our private scan next friday...its such an anxious time though but its a very good sign that you've seen the heartbeat so try to enjoy it a little and relax abit 😊

Hi OP I'm 11+3 now. I've had exactly the same throughout. Had a scan at 8+2 and all fine. It's very hard not to worry but I think it's all normal.

BecauseItIz · 28/09/2019 10:51

Yes and that there was only one haha. They saw a small hematoma which is a bit worrying, I'm hoping my body absorbs it.

ksandls · 28/09/2019 13:05

Thanks @veeboo I definitely feel better about it now 😁
