Evening all - so, I've not been great so far at following big threads, but I wondered if it might be useful to start a FTM thread for January 2020. I'm 23 weeks today, due on 23/1. Our 'bean' is apparently the size of a grapefruit today!

How is everyone feeling? I've had a bit more energy in the past couple of days, and am daring to wonder if the so-far mythical 'easy 2nd tri' might be showing itself. Apart from massive pain in my hip when I sleep on my left, I'm doing OK!

Would be lovely to meet some other nearly mamas in the same boat.

Xx

Hey guys I'm a bit late to the game joining mumsnet! Due 29th jan and terrified hahaha!

How is everyone?x

DoubtingMyPatience · 07/10/2019 19:18

My little lady is due 17th Jan!

Had my 25 week appointment today and have had to have my wee sample sent off as it has protein in it. Little bit nervous but apparently it’s normal to have a small amount anyway!

👋 Welcome to all of the new members of the thread!

Anyone else finding it impossible to concentrate at the moment?? At work all I seem to be able to think about is babies and all the things I need to do at home before baby arrives! Bit worrying given how much I have to finish off at work before mat leave starts 😂

Cherry85 · 11/10/2019 21:11

Hello :) I’ve posted once way back at 12 weeks but lost track of the huge thread there was then! I’m a first time mum, due our little girl 26/01Smile very excited now and at 25 weeks getting progressively more achy!! Based in Lancashire which is a long drive away from my family so it’s a bit nerve wracking what’s ahead, look forward to chatting with you all!

BeccaDolly · 15/10/2019 01:50

Hi all!
I’m a FTM and I’m 28+6, due on 01/01/2020 and from the lovely Leeds (yaas another Yorkshire lass In here!)
Had ridiculous morning sickness throughout the first trimester, not had it since (touch wood!)
I’m into my third trimester and the heartburn! Oh my life.
My pregnancy should be sponsored by gaviscon!!
I couldn’t get through a night without it!

I’m new to this, hopefully I’ve done it right.
Hope all 2020 Mumas to be are all good,
Me and my baby bean are awake, he/she is kicking away preventing sleep.. I have to get used to it I guess! 🤣
X

Hey all,

I'm new to the thread but have been excited about getting on a Jan 2020 one! Smile I'm 25 weeks and my little lady is due on 28/01 however as I have type 1 diabetes I suspect she'll be with us a little sooner.

@BeccaDolly I know what you mean, I've been guzzling rennies like no ones business Grin

@crazymuseummumtobe thanks for starting this thread have you moved house yet? How is it going?

snowybean · 16/10/2019 22:38

Hi all 👋 I'm also a first-time mum with my baby due either on the 27th or 31st January (different people keep telling me different dates 🤷🏼‍♀️).

We've finally moved into our new flat about two weeks ago - that was hard work. I'm normally the 'mule' as my mum puts it, so not being able to help carry heavy things was an odd experience. I was still totally and utterly exhausted though, back pains and all. But we are all settled now and my favourite place to chill is in my baby's room.

I'm quite excited about baby's arrival, although I'm also keen to live life to my usual standard as much as possible before she arrives!

I'm in Battersea, London if anyone ever wants to meet up to chat about babies, becoming a parent or just anything really.

crazymuseummumtobe · 18/10/2019 11:46

Hey everyone!

@mummybear405 - we moved last weekend! Pretty stressful and very emotional leaving the old place so that wasn't much fun. Hoping to really break the back of the rest of the boxes this weekend, then we'll really be able to see what we still need to get for baby!

Generally I'm feeling OK... Tired, quite a lot of pressure in my pelvis when I walk any kind of distance, but I think that's all just par for the course!
