Private anomaly scan London - recommendations?

I had my anomaly scan today. The sonographer couldn't see a part of the brain so called in a consultant who said the same. I need to go back in a couple of weeks for a re-scan.

They tried to be reassuring that it might just be too early (I'm not yet 20 weeks) and various mutterings about "this isn't one of our best machines" and told not to worry too much etc. But obviously I am worrying!!

I'd like a second opinion and am happy to go private for it. I've tried Fetal Medicine Centre but availability of appointments is not great for me. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I was looking at Harley Street but pretty much anywhere in London would be ok.

Thanks.

I went to the London Ultrasound Center which seems to have been rebranded to the London Women’s Clinic (DD was born in 2017) and saw Mr Ruwan Wilmasundra for all my scans.

Try Ultrasound Direct / Baby Bond. They have a partnership with Mothercare too so can use some of their branches for certain scans.

I came on to recommend the FMC. They have state of the art equipment and brilliant staff. Get there if you can possibly make it work.

I had a scan done at The Medical Chambers Kensiuans was very pleased with the thoroughness and the experience.

I'd definitely try to get in with FMC for that type of thing - I'm not sure baby bond would be a good idea given it may or may not be a serious issue rather than simple reassurance scan

@chocolateandwineplease27 yes exactly that's what I'm thinking. I am looking for a medical second opinion, really Sad

I agree. FMC are your best option.

Thanks everyone. I've been to FMC before and had a great experience so I know how good they are, it was purely just availability of appointments which is the problem. I was thinking there must be other options for a more "medical" scan (rather than a "get a cute photo of your baby" scan).
