I'm 5 months pregnant, & still not showing I've put a little weight on & not as toned as I can't exercise as much! I thought I would look pregnant by now! Did anyone else have this?

I was about 24 weeks before I started showing with my first

Yep! Please don’t worry! I know I was desperate for a bump. The picture is me at 5 months. I’m now 39 weeks and I’m still not massive & people can’t believe I’m due anytime. I just carry smaller like my mum did with me and my sibling. At some point you will definitely ‘pop’! Enjoy it - I’ve found I’ve felt really good towards the end of pregnancy where I’m not massive! Xx

I didn't even tell my colleagues I was pregnant until 24 weeks as I wasn't showing. No one had guessed as I was still wearing all my usual clothes at that point!

I didn't have a noticeable bump until 7 months I'd say.

Jesse1822 · 16/09/2019 13:09

Thank you so much! I'm still in all the same clothes, the only thing that's got bigger is my boobs, but bump wise nothing! It just panicked me slightly! I've not felt the baby move yet & just wanted to make sure I was the only one!

It could just be abdominal muscles. I didn’t show until 25+ weeks then had 24 hours of abdominal pain, woke up the next morning and had a bump! I think the pain was my abdominal muscles separating.

Hi Jesse,
I’m 7 months and am only just (in the last ten days) out of my normal jeans - albeit they were done up with an elastic band since about 24 weeks :-) I now have a very obvious bump to those that know me (and I feel big) but to strangers, many are still surprised if I say I’m pregnant! I think when dressed I just look stockier unless what I’m wearing is very fitted!

We all just develop and carry differently! I also only began to feel baby move with any regularity since 25 weeks, and still don’t have a “pattern” which the midwives have assured me is normal.

I have found it frustrating dressing at times, especially at events where I don’t feel great! But I’m telling myself I’ll have a bump for long enough and will probably want to get rid of it when I have it 😂 enjoy your pregnancy.

@Babycakes1989 that is a definite bump
Smile I would say you are showing for sure and not to worry! Everyone shows at a different time and as long as the baby is healthy on a scan it doesn't matter if you can/can't see it from the outside

@Babycakes1989 sorry I thought you were OP!!

@Jesse1822 I would count yourself lucky if you aren't showing but don't worry about it!! This is me at 6 months pregnant- huge and very obviously got a baby in there!! But I know some people at my stage where you literally would not be able to tell. A friend of mine works out loads and I'm convinced that her strong stomach muscles make her look less pregnant.
