I am 6 weeks pregnant and having very light brown spotting and freaking out. I have had 2 consecutive early miscarriages already and have the fear that it’s going to happen again! It hasn’t progressed or got worse and only a bit, any reassurance at all would be so appreciated !

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver ahhh thank you for that, helps😊

@thunderandsunshine01 Mine looked like that on Thursday night and then stopped; what did your test look like? Xx

@helensss it’s darker than it’s been before, doesn’t rule out a 2nd ectopic for me tho Hmm

How was your test?!

I feel like you should be seen sooner based on ectopic history? Maybe make a bit of a song and dance to your doctor surgery? X

I agree, I really don’t want to risk losing my other tube. Planning on calling docs 1st thing Monday.

I’m feeling really optimistic that yours was just some growing and stretching, especially now that it’s stopped!

Crossing fingers it’s good news for us both 🤞

Holly19 · 14/09/2019 22:23

@thunderandsunshine01 sorry to jump in on your conversation ladies but I would be tempted to go to a&e with your history. Obviously up to you and how you feel but i wouldn’t risk it x

thunderandsunshine01 · 14/09/2019 23:45

@Holly19 if I’m still having this Monday I may bypass docs and head straight for hosp. In my experience they won’t scan you on a weekend at all where I live, bit of a nightmare.
Not even sure how soon a pregnancy can be picked up via ultrasound!Confused

Helensss · 15/09/2019 08:42

Yeah I think @Holly19 is right, maybe go tomorrow morning if you can? It’s a big deal seeing what you’ve gone through before and they should get that surely. How are things today?

They’ll be able to look for thickening of womb from about 5-6 weeks, to see if it’s a uterine pregnancy. They should treat previous ectopic seriously.

thunderandsunshine01 · 16/09/2019 10:19

Hey ladies. I’ve kicked and screamed and managed to get a doctors appt for 11:30. Can’t get through to the gynocology /EPU department at the hosp so have left a message for a call back but nothing yet Sad

How you getting on @Helensss?

Helensss · 16/09/2019 10:25

@Thunderandsunshine01

Well done! Rightly so, let us know how you get on. I’m so glad you got one!

I think I am ok for now. I feel really really sick this morning and haven’t had any spotting since Friday,
Going to try and sit tight till my midwife appt now I think xx

@Helensss

Will do!! Work have been a bit funny about it but needs must!

For what it’s worth I think you should get checked too, if you have a history of MC.

Xx

Helensss · 16/09/2019 12:45

@thunderandsunshine01 just ignore work, you can’t help it and it’s more important.

Yeah I might call the dr tomorrow xx

@Helensss

Just got out of docs and have a same day referral to EPU at the hospital. Glad I went, will update how I get on.

GP also said they no longer make 1st midwife appointment, just need to call yourself Confused so would have been a complete waste of time waiting until Oct for that appt!

Helensss · 16/09/2019 13:16

Oh that’s good!! How is your spotting? Good it hasn’t progressed over the weekend!

OP posts:
Helensss · 16/09/2019 18:13

How did the epu go? X

Feel like it’s getting a bit .. redder? Since appointment anyway...They’ve taken bloods for hcg levels and I’m not dilating at mo. but won’t get results until tomorrow. If high enough hcg they’ll book a scan for this week

At least it’s something!

Helensss · 16/09/2019 20:54

Glad you are getting seen to! Fingers crossed xx

OP posts:
thunderandsunshine01 · 17/09/2019 09:27

Had call back from hosp.. hcg is 83 which is too low for where I’m at so either another MC or ectopic Sad

Helensss · 17/09/2019 10:09

@thunderandsunshine01 oh no 😢 so so sorry to hear this. What will they do how? Hope you have someone to look after you! Sending love ❤️

levels are going down so confirmed MC. Bleeding is heavy and pretty sure I passed the pregnancy this morning. The only good news (if you can call it that) is that this is the 3rd failed pregnancy in a row in the space of 11 months, which apparently is the point at which they can now refer me to haematology for further tests to investigate what’s going on with me. V frustrating as my unplanned preg with 7yr old DD was complication free. Just the way it goes, gutted xx
@Helensss did you get seen to?

Helensss · 18/09/2019 19:59

@thunderandsunshine01 so sorry to hear ☹️ It might have just been a horrible case of bad luck! Or if not I hope you get some answers. Sounds like you’ve had an awful time, it is nice to know you can carry successfully though as you did with your daughter xxxx

I haven’t no, I have symptoms like nausea, tiredness and massive boobs, have done a few more tests and the lines are super strong still. I have my midwife appt on Monday so I’m going to put my foot down and try push for an early scan as will (hopefully) be 7 weeks then so they’ll def be able to see if it’s progressing ok xx
