How many weeks am I?! So confused

I know I conceived on the 24th of August, because that’s when I ovulated, and we hadn’t BD’d for a good while before then and all previous tests were negative. I got my BFP 2 days ago, which was 15dpo. So technically I’m 2 weeks pregnant? But when I use online calculators it tells me 4 weeks? Help!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You count from the First day of your last period .

Congratulations!

It goes from the first day of your last period, so you are 4 weeks Grin

My last period was the 10th of June which was just a withdrawal bleed after coming off the pill. I hadn’t had a natural period at all, I took 77 days to ovulate so I’m still confused :( in which case I’m a good few weeks pregnant?!

Pregnancy is dated from th first day of your last period, NOT when you conceived.

Go with the 4 weeks thing.
Your super long cycle has confused things, but yes, you were2 weeks pregnant on the day you conceived!

In the UK, 2 weeks are added so if you get a positive HPT on your period due date, you're 4 weeks pregnant. 2 weeks is based on a 4 week cycle and ovulating / conceiving smack in the middle of your cycle

Megan2018 · 10/09/2019 11:32

As PP says it is dated from LMP until you have dating scan and from that point forward it is based on those measurements which can be a week or so either side of LMP. Even the conception date isn’t certain as sperm can live for a week so you've actually got no idea when the egg fertilised, even if you know when you ovulated.

Thanks! I’ll stick with the 4 weeks for now!
