I've read the bottle and it doesn't say "dont take if you're up the duff" or anything but thought i'd check here first.

I did a brief google and even a search on here but the posts i found were a couple of years old and they may have changed their ingredients or summat by now.

Is it safe?

Another Gaviscon swigger here when I was pg with both my boys!! Oh and guess what, they are both hairy and active

Ended up being prescribed ranatadine towards the end of prg number 2 as the heart burn was so bad Gaviscon didn't touch it!

RGPargy · 07/08/2007 11:57

Hmmm well perhaps you lot had it really bad! I cant say it's a regular occurance, just every now and then. But when i do get it, it's effin' annoying and uncomfortable!!

Thought i should tell you all to avoid the peppermint flavour Gavi. It's HORRIBLE!!! I knew i should have stuck to aniseed!!

Absolutely, yes take it!!! I get regular prescriptions for massive bottles of it (or sometimes they give me Peptac which is exactly the same). I also buy bottles from the shops in between. I had this with my last pg as well as this one and nothing else seems to help!!!

mumtodd · 08/08/2007 22:22

I drank gallons of it while pregnant too and then just as dd was arriving into the world a nurse broke a huge bottle of Gaviscon just outside the delivery suite and the aroma of Gaviscon floated into the room. I thought I was hallucinating and that the poor baby smelt like it because I had drank so much of it LOL

RGPargy · 08/08/2007 22:33

hahahaha @ mumtodd!!
