Swollen legs/feet and rant

Feet have swollen yesterday, today legs swelled up and feeling like lead weights. I think the heaviness due more to a yoga session i did from YouTube the other day (usual class is on break cos teacher on hol) it was more...fast paced. My usual class did more warm ups, cool downs, transition movements whereas these ones i followed you just send to zip from pose to pose.

Anyway, legs like humbo sausages today.

Anything i can do? My job involves a lot of standing (and a lot of sitting occasionally) but plenty of getting up and down, carrying things and going back and forth, up and down.

And if i said about it they would be really good and just tell me to have lots of breaks but it seems mighty unfair to everyone else, although most won't begrudge me it at all and keep telling me to sit down!

But it's hard to not do stuff when you see it needing to be done and not wanting to be a burden.

So a little Moran... Bit anything i can do it than just put feet up? We can't do that all the time! In fact most of the time i can't.

My legs have been uncomfortable at night too I've noticed that before swelling.

Anyway i have left a message with the mw at about 10am but naturally she hasn't got back to me yet. I also need to get the matb1 form off her.

Why can't they just give you that form rather than expect to be asked for it? Waste of time. Shelly it should be a matter of course at the 20 week scan for them to issue it?

I'm frustrated because I'm not supposed to have my phone on me but they don't phone at specific tints and always phone back from a private number. So I'll have to and might not be convenient for my phone to go off or for me to answer it.

So now feel i have to keep phone on me and sneak off if i can just did this form... And to ask about swollen legs.

But too worried about legs, more annoyd by discomfort and possible inability to do job.

Anyone else?

The only thing that really helps is putting your feet up unfortunately. It's not unfair to other people unless they're suffering from swollen legs but don't get extra breaks? Needs must and all that. I have to take extra breaks just to put my feet up. It's only a temporary measure but does help a little.

You generally don't get your mat1b form until after your 20 week scan. My midwife automatically gave me mine at my first appointment following my 20 week scan.

Maybe I'll get the form at my next appointment then which happens to be next week. But I'd read somewhere you should apply for mat leave by 25 weeks. Which is tomorrow! But oh well!

I know i shouldn't feel bad about taking extra breaks but i do.
