hi all,

so I am 25 +5 weeks today and I'm starting to feel a little stressed out. haven't really felt any movement since yesterday - might have had a tiny bit this morning but not 100 percent sure as was half asleep. I have an anterior placenta as well however at my last appointment midwife didnt really say this should be a factor. I've drunk coke, had an ice cream, laid down on my left on my right on my back no response. not really sure how long you're supposed to leave it.

when would you call?

thanks x

@Hopex3 my last pregnancy I couldn't feel my baby move at all or if I did it was soooo hard because they were faint. Placenta was right across my front (covering whole bump basically) and he was head down faving in from 28 weeks but whenever we had scans they could see him moving, midwife could hear him moving when checking for heartbeat and when I went on ten CTG they picked up how movements.

It was sooooo stressful so I sympathise with you so much! I would say alway always always call if you're worried. They'd much rather see you and it be nothing that any other outcomes

I was literally in every week at one point!

Oh, I'm so glad that all is OK, OP. Now, put your feet up and have a nice cuppa and relax.

Chances are, your baby will keep you awake all night tonight now with her kicking, after her long sleep during the day! Smile

thanks all, yeah I was told at my scans that the placenta might affect movement but my midwife didnt at my last appointment and just said any change I must ring up so I find it all a but confusing too. for me I feel her atleast one period of time a day so I think for me itll be if that doesnt happen then I'll panic. yes I've felt her move since! got quite emotional its such a wonderful but stressful time x

I know it’s worrying OP! I too had a loss at 8 weeks last year and I’m now 36 weeks. I’ve been in for reduced movements twice. First time was about the time you are now I was so worried. The 2nd time was about a month ago and this time they put the pads and straps on my tummy. My heart rate was a little high and so was babys where I was anxious! They left me for half an hour and within half hour boom boom boom he’s kicking away - I was in floods!! Your being a good mama and doing the best by your little bundle by being cautious and noticing so your doing good!! And it wasn’t until a month ago my little boy didn’t have a pattern some days he was quieter than others and that’s just the way he was. Now the movements are more frequent as he’s bigger and taking up more room! Some mornings he takes a while to come round so hoping he likes a lie in 🤭 relax and be proud that your very in control and doing a good job of looking after babe xxxx
