As per title, pure curiosity and not here to make anyone feel small/big etc, just wondering how everyone has found their weight gain/loss up until this point?!

I'm 25+2 and was overweight to start with, I've gained 4.5kg so far from my starting weight. I have my 25 week midwife appointment on Thursday so she should be able to tell me if I'm on track etc!

Where are you ladies at?

I am 22 weeks 3 days and gained 8 kilos. I was slim to begin with, so even with all the weight gain and being as far as I am I still get comments that I don’t look pregnant! But I’m definitely starting to show. Every pregnancy I put a ton of weight and after the baby I slim right back to pre baby weight. Well not straight away, slowly comes off after a year. I think they say if your overweight you tend to gain less. And if slim you gain slightly more. Although, for me both times I gained 23 kilos- which is way too much! But literally the next few days after birth 10 kilos come straight off so I think part of its water weight. My boobs also get huge and so heavy. Today my dc were commenting on how huge and heavy they look. They are still young enough to make these types of comments lol.

I'm 28+2 and was overweight to start with but so far haven't put anything on. Been diagnosed with GD too so really making sure to eat healthy foods now. I've not bee weighed since the beginning by the midwife but I weigh myself every few days at home.

I'm 21 weeks tomorrow and have already put on 6kg 🙈

I was pretty slim before though so I'm not stressing about it too much, just eating when I'm hungry and trying to snack somewhat healthily (no chocolate and ice cream binges!).

I’m 25 weeks and have gained 8kg so far. Not too worried even if it’s at the higher end of “normal” - I am quite tall and normal weight before pregnancy. I have definitely been eating for two so no surprise really!

I'm 25+2 and have gained around 17lbs. Far too much really but I just can't keep my morning hunger at bay. Once I have lunch I'm fine but the mornings I'm ravenous. Hoping I lose it once baby is here and will start a new year healthy eating plan after consuming a wheel of brie which is currently at the top of my Xmas pressie list Grin

Wow, such a massive range! It seems the slimmer ladies gain more which I guess makes sense! As long as we're all healthy and babies are happy then all is well 🙂

Hi I'm overweight also and lost 3lb in first trimester then I gained that back plus 5lb so I suppose that's 8lb overall not sure if that's on track I'm concerned about gaining to much more. I have to have another section and I'm worried they won't be able to place my spinal if I get too much bigger 😔

Hi
Currently 23 weeks pregnant and have put on 4lb (1.5kg) I do attend slimming world and lost 2 stone one of which was early pregnancy, due to bad morning sickness and high stress levels! I was 11-7 on start of pregnancy so slightly overweight! So want to keep it at a minimum gain, due to sickness I only seem to want to eat stodgy food but it's o my once max twice a day, slightly worried about it all 🤔
Anyone similar

Hi all

Thanks for posting this @dollytutu !! I am curious how I am doing in comparison to others too.

At 26+2 I weighed 11 stone 1 - My starting weight was a higher than normal (for me) 10 stone 4 and so far I've gained 11lbs (Just under 5kgs) - all since week 19!

I think my exercise has slowed, but my appetite has also gone through the roof. I am eating healthy for the most part but I've really struggled to say no to the donut, the ice cream and the cake...

I'm hoping it starts to tail off soon as there becomes less room inside and the only gain remaining is baby! I'd set myself a little target of gaining no more than 2 stone (12-13kgs) but at this stage had no idea how I was going to carry. I've been pleasantly surprised so far!

As someone who battles to maintain my weight, pregnancy has definitely been a challenge in terms of adapting to the changes! The mind is a funny thing.

A stone and half 😭 so jealous of all those who’ve barely gained any weight. Hoping to lose it ASAP as I have a wedding dress to fit into 5 months after the birth :|

dollytutu · 20/08/2019 13:50

Wow! Haha I think everyone is so different! My dmfriend keeps saying to me I don't look pregnant and she would have put 3 stone on by this point! But she tends to gain5 stone each pregnancy she is 6ft and usually 9/10 stone! I do believe keeping active has done it and also sickness has helped lol however I am aware as I am 35 was only 19/23 in last two pregnancies and gained quite a lot but I'm aware and want speedy recovery this time x

Anyone care to share any bump pics? It's so interesting how it differs for each person! I feel like I've ballooned this week - when I wake up of a morning and lay on my back I can see bump clearly whereas before it just looked like podge! I'll upload a bump pic shortly - just walked in from work! 🥵
