5weeks but thought I was 6+2...

Hi ladies

So I'm "Dollie" and need a vent / advise / I dunno why but I just find comfort in these threads!

So I had a mc in December and a chemical in feb and finally 2 weeks ago I got my POSITIVE YAY!

Ok so factsheet...

• last period 5th July
• cycle length varies from 30-33 days
• ovulation test smiley 20th July (PM - the am was negative)
• feint positive 2/8/19
• digital positive 4/8/19

So with all of the above info my "Ovia" app calculated I was 6wks + 2 days today.

So being the anxious crazy lady I am I booked a 6week private scan today hoping to be reassured - especially since yesterday after I pee'd (tmi) I had a little bit of spotting and again late last night

Anyway so today I go and had my ultrasound and my pregnancy is confirmed a 6.8mm great shaped (?) pregnancy uterine sac (if I'm wording correctly) and a very strong yolk sac BUT no fetus / fetal pole so my sonographer guesstimated I'm actually more 5weeks and I should come back in 2 weeks...

As you can imagine my mind is now going crazy...
I'm feeling totally anxious - plus after the ultrasound I got some brown spotting! And have had a little more other spotting this evening which my sister thinks could be implantation as I'm more 5 weeks

I guess I just wondered if anyone had any similar experience that ended well? And if looking at my dates that actually the ultrasound does add up and I just miscalculated

Also implantation spotting - anyone had it!?

Hi @Dollydoo22 I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious. I'm just behind you at 6 weeks. At this stage they are so tiny. Was it a transvaginal scan?

You had your positive opk the day before mine - it could be you didn't ovulate for up to 3 days after that, which could account for the difference in dates. Or it could have implanted slightly later.

I've also had a miscarriage so totally understand the anxiety. Hopefully all will be well for you. Are you booked to see a midwife?

I had the exact same thing happen to me! Thought I was close to 7 weeks but was 5. I'm guessing she just implanted late.

She's 19months old now btw and throwing weetabix on the floor

It's really horrible to be in limbo @Dollydoo22. I think at this stage being a few days out is OK. Hopefully when you go back you'll see a heartbeat and some growth 🤞it could be implantation spotting you're having too. It's so hard not to worry about everything isn't it? 💜

I'm not too bad thanks, calling the epu this morning for a scan this week. Been awake since 5, so am already tired!

Venusstar thank you I'm literally just over analysing everything but I guess that's normal for us to feel this way after previous mc. I'm almost positive I've spoken to you before on previous threads 🤔 let me know how you get on with the EPU I went private with a company called ultrasound direct it was £70 - really good if you can't get one at EPU just disappointing in my case for timing!

@Dollydoo22 I can't help with the scan dates being out, but I have had implantation spotting (if that's what it was). Started at 5+3 and didn't stop until 7 weeks, the day I had an early scan. I was sooooo anxious the entire time, especially due to a previous early miscarriage but every midwife I have spoken to about it (at the time and since) has seemed so unbothered by it that I think it's super common. I'm now 11 weeks and haven't had any spotting since.

Hey Satsuma! Thank you for your reply. Also really reassuring. Was it just when you wiped? (Sorry tmi) I genuinely think this is the most scariest time of a women's life! Glad to hear all is ok with you at 11weeks how are you feeling generally? xx

It was only when I wiped @Dollydoo22 so not heavy, but then again I was peeing like a machine at that point, plus probably going to the loo more than needed just to check. It was a very anxious time. But then when it stopped I was anxious about why it had stopped 🙈 I've been slightly more relaxed since about week nine, but now I'm getting nervous about my 12 week scan next week. I'm guessing it'll never end, and then at the end we have a baby to worry about for the rest of our lives! Generally I've been fairly tired and have felt sick on certain days but I've had it easy so far compared to lots of ladies (which has also made me anxious!!)

I had a transvsginal scan at 7.5 wks due to spotting and was told I was measuring at 6 wks, and should 'consider myself' 6 wks pregnant. This, even though I was 100% sure of my dates.

Fast forward five weeks, and we measured perfectly at the 12 wk scan, and was bang on schedule again.

How you doing @Dollydoo22? Had my scan today and my situation is almost exactly that same! There's a yolk sac but no foetal pole yet. There is a complication that I also have a mass by my left ovary which could be another baby 💔 technically ectopic but not in my tube. Got to go back next week to check progress.

Interestingly they were really not fussed about the uterine pregnancy, they said they might not even see a heartbeat next week and that would be OK with them (by my dates I'd be nearly 7.5 weeks then ?!)

Not really sure how to feel at the moment...hope you're ok Xx

@hcopp thank you for messaging and wow that's super reassuring!! I guess patience is key .. spotting thing just instantly reminds me of my miscarriage in December I was spotting for 5 weeks on and off and finally my body let go on Xmas eve! I'll keep you posted xx

How are you feeling? You poor thing? I have all fingers and toes crossed the mass is nothing to worry about are you in any discomfort at all?

Interesting about the scan? I've been reading a lot actually that it's more rare to see something that early than not which led me to delete pregnancy apps and kind of stop settling expectations of what I should see what fruit I should measure at etc etc how many weeks were you on scan day??

I'm spotting - only when I wipe mind you the colour changes .. were more brown now although spots of red too! was almost tempted to start a thread and send pics!

I went to EPU on Tuesday for peace of mind again they weren't hugely concerned but asked I go back on Friday (next week) to see if there's been any progress.

The exact same thing has happened to me - again! Went for a private scan today expecting to be 6+4, but am actually closer to 5+2. So frustrating.

I go back next Friday! My spotting is now brown but still there when I wipe although a lot lighter today!

@Dollydoo22 it was a private scan I went for and he said that he wasn't worried as it looked like a perfect early pregnancy but to come back in two weeks to check. I'm however not hopeful that the pregnancy is progressing to be honest. I have zero pregnancy symptoms

So I know you’ve had one before but I would still stay positive. The week I had the scan and then started spotting ALL my symptoms disappeared instantly however a couple of days ago the nipples started again and today is full on nausea so I do think they can come and go. My sister had zero symptoms for her whole pregnancy didn’t quite believe she was pregnant until he started kicking. Try and stay positive I know it’s hard ♥️

On my way home now and heading straight to the hospital. Scan first thing. Feeling like it's all over 💔 my body feels quite pregnant and had no spotting or anything but just not got a good feeling for me.

Not good news for me @Dollydoo22. There's been some growth and there's a foetal pole now but no heartbeat and only measuring about 5 weeks, which is impossible from my ovulation and bfp date 💔 hope you get better news xx
