Hello everyone

I am a mum of two boys and I am currently 15weeks pregnant with my 3rd I have had hyperemesis gravidarum(HG) in both my previous pregnancys and I have it during this pregnancy.

I am currently in hospital due to dehydration and vomiting but I am just getting frustrated with the doctors as they do not listen when I explain to them that I have already lost over 4st in the pregnancy and the anti sickness tablets they keep giving me do not work, but they keep giving me them anyway and keep telling me "the sickness will stop by 16weeks".

I am just wondering if anyone has had any luck with the doctors actually taking HG seriously and not just try to get you out of hospital as soon as possible?.

I am ending up in hospital everyweek due to dehydration and vomiting.

Please ring pregnancy sickness support. They have lots of information and can give you the latest guidelines and tell you who specialises in HG in your area. There are other options my consultant said I can try steroids if I get any worse. Hope you get the help you need.

What medication have they given you?

I'm on metoclopramide, ondansetron and cyclizine none of the other anti sickness tablets work and neither do these but the doctors still refuse to give me steroids.
