My baby is now 3 months old and we've just moved her out of our room and into her own room and cot. She's sleeping well but over night she wriggles up out of the tucked in blanket and gets chilly! Has anyone tried a baby sleeping bag?? are they safe/any good? I'm a bit concerned about her over heating in a sleeping bag? (wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong bit).

Couldn't recommend them enough and yes they are safe, according to FSID. And you won't need as much bedding, just your sheets for the mattress.

We used them with DS until he went into a bed. We did find that one winter he was waking and suspected he was cold. I bought a Noukie one, which are supposed to be slightly warmer, and he started sleeping again. They are great and will be using them this time too

they are fab! I have seen Tescos and Sainsburys do them too, very cheap. You must have a spare!

I love them. Have only been putting dd (10wks) in them for about 3wks now but have already noticed that she stays asleep longer. I was forever waking up to check she was still covered (our room gets quite chilly at night even in hot weather)but now Im confident that she will stay warm all night. At the moment i have got two and I got them from ebay, i wanted to see how dd got on with them before paying out lots of money but now im already planning on buying more.

I have discovered 'stealth gro-bagging' too! When its hot i let my DS go to sleep in just a t-shirt then I sneak in in the dark just as I am off to bed and put him in his 0.5 tog to keep him toasty. He hasn't made a fuss - yet. He just opens his eyes for moment while I gently wrestle his arms and legs into it.
