3 weeks is very early to know!

I wouldn’t expect anything much symptom wise at that point because of how early you are. I certainly just felt my my period was coming and other than this feeling that I was pregnant I didn’t really feel any different until 4 weeks.

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 17:25

@Keyboard91 thank you! What did you feel at 4 weeks?xxx

Keyboard91 · 23/07/2019 17:26

@amy1245 some period type cramps, tingly boobs and more hungry.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 23/07/2019 17:34

3 weeks from last period or 3 weeks from Ov? To be honest despite sore boobs and increased appetite I would hardly know I was pregnant until quite recently (10 weeks).

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 17:36

@ImMeantToBeWorking 3 weeks since my last period? Be 4 weeks since my last period on Friday? The only thing I'd say I'm a little more tired but I'm sure that's because the heat.

Just worrying as I've had 2 misscarriages and 1 ectopic :(

@Keyboard91 how far gone are you? Xx

Most people don't even know they are pregnant at 3 weeks. You are very unlikely to have any symptoms at this stage. Enjoy that while it lasts Grin.

Lauraloop1516 · 23/07/2019 17:41

I wouldn't expect any symptoms for another 2 weeks

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 17:46

@HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone thank you! That's reassuring!

I had twins and I had few symptoms for weeks. Actually months ...

EscapeTheOrdinary · 23/07/2019 17:54

I’m now 32 weeks and didn’t have any of the symptoms associated with pregnancy so although it’s early days don’t worry if symptoms don’t appear in the next few weeks as it doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong

Bunnyfuller · 23/07/2019 18:05

Have you had IVF? Otherwise I’m really confused, you won’t feel symptoms until you’re pregnant (and maybe not immediately anyway). A fertilised egg takes 5 days from sperm and egg fusing to become a blastocyst which floats around for a bit until starting to implant. At this stage the embryo secretes HCG, which is what gives the + test and some symptoms for some people.

Simply put there’s nothing to look for until your period is late at least. Sure lots test early (me in my TTC and IVF years) but the science doesn’t really support it

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 19:21

@Bunnyfuller

Sorry I'm really confused? I've had a positive test so I am pregnant.

I've not had IVF but I am on progesterone due to 2 misscarriages and ectopic pregnancy.

I got told by my consultant that you don't get a positive test till around 6-7 days after implantation?

OP posts:
amy1245 · 23/07/2019 19:23

@Bunnyfuller also I am late on my period ? My cycles are 22 days long

OP posts:
Bunnyfuller · 23/07/2019 19:33

Do you know when you ovulated? The problem is, progesterone will stop your period a bit. Until 4-5 weeks on there’s little you can do. Very frustrating, I completely understand. Hcg is what gives much of pregnancy symptoms and it isn’t present until the embryo is burrowed in.
Symptoms or no symptoms it’s far too early to tell if you’re pregnant or not

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 19:49

@Bunnyfuller I'm so confused what your on about.

I only started progesterone yesterday after a positive test ? So I am pregnant.

Hcg isn't produced until the embryo is implanted ? Xx

amy1245 · 23/07/2019 19:50

@Bunnyfuller I don't understand as I wouldn't get a positive pregnancy test if there was no hcg? X

Congratulations, OP.

My symptoms didn't start to appear until 6/7 weeks, I think it's pretty usual.

Keyboard91 · 23/07/2019 19:57

If OPs cycles are 22 days it’s very possible for her to know via a positive pregnancy test. I found out at 3w+3 with a 27 day cycle!

I’m 4w+5 now @amy1245 I’m getting heartburn and some nausea (nothing awful) and am more tired than usual. But all pretty mild symptoms really. Honestly, if I didn’t know, I probably wouldn’t have put 2+2 together yet and would’ve thought I had a bit of a virus or something about me.

Bunnyfuller · 23/07/2019 20:03

I didn’t see about pos test. Also was not aware of your previous post which provides the detail.

Congrats and good luck. I had 5 mc and used to drive myself nuts for 4 years, asking the Internet the same sort of questions. After losses it’s horrible, because even if you’re pregnant you daren’t relax for a second because you’re hard wired for disappointment

chipscheesegravy · 23/07/2019 20:15

I am 33 weeks and I haven't had any symptoms all the way through! Try not to worry too much x

ImMeantToBeWorking · 24/07/2019 11:45

I totally agree with @HeadsDownThumbsUpEveryone it's way too early for symptoms. I was 4 weeks before I took a test and I had no symptoms at that stage. Still very little symptoms at ten weeks. Don't be worry too early, in a few weeks you may be sick of them. And congrats on your BFP.
