Bleeding but no cramps- miscarriage?

Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone can talk to me and share their experience. I’ve called 111 and am waiting for a specialist to return my call.

I had lower back pain and some cramping on Thursday and Friday alongside brown discharge. I haven’t had any cramps today but I have had stringy brown discharge and now I’ve had red streaky blood. I’ve wiped three times and all three times it’s been red blood. But I haven’t had any cramps and the bleeding is slowing to spotting which is light red watery blood.

I’m really concerned and don’t know what is going on. Am I miscarrying or not?! This sucks

Anyone experience the same?

How many weeks are you? With dc3 I had a lot of bleeding at 10 weeks. It was on a Friday and I had bed rest over the weekend, and went into hospital for a scan on the Monday. I was bleeding all weekend - it was such a shock. However, when I went in for the scan there was a healthy heartbeat and pregnancy progressed fine. Wishing you all the best and don’t give up hope xx

Thanks, that is reassuring to hear. I’ll be 6 weeks on Monday. I’m hoping all is fine especially as bleeding has lessened significantly and no cramps but still very anxious.

Suggest on Monday going to an early pregnancy unit for a scan - in some places you can self refer, in others there’s a longer wait via GP.

Often two scans are needed, a week apart, to tell whether a pregnancy is progressing or it’s a mc.

Thank you all for messages. The bleeding started up again and it is definitely more than a few streaks but I’ve had one clot, still no pain and my pad hasn’t soaked through. I’ve had losses before and both times I had pain accompanied with a lot of blood and clots. So I’m a little confused but hopeful.

I had a call back from the specialist just now, luckily I am awake. We went through what has been happening and she asked me if there are any concerns at the forefront of my mind. I told her that at this point I don’t know if I’m pregnant and would like it confirmed. So I will monitor the bleeding but on Monday /Tuesday I will be going to the early pregnancy unit for a scan. I need to get through today and am hoping there is no more bleeding and that I am still pregnant. Having another loss will break my spirit and I’m praying that is not the case.

Anyway, I will rest today and see what the next few days bring.

I had pretty similar symptoms and a random clot and fresh blood. Went to emergency and they couldn't see a problem. Baby was fine and never had another scare. Hope it works out the same for you.
