how could i get an early scan?

I dont know how far gone i am and dont have midwife appointment until the 9th of august. It could take up to 3-4 weeks after that appointment to get a scan

Im going loopy at the moment with.....when am i due? is it alright? what if theres more than one???? I cant wait another 6 weeks to find out!!

Does anyone know how i could get a scan before seeing midwife? can docs arrange scans??

I'm sure you have EPAU - its the kind of thing you only find out about when you really need it, I had to have referal from doc at A&E to get appointment and think GP can refer too, prob the same for most PCT's as they are all stretched

Hope you enjoy the scan today and that your mind is put at rest....

Don't mean to put a dampner on it, but just a word of caution, if you are really early on you might not see anything, or you may just see an empty sac. Please be prepared for this too, as I had an early scan with my dd and it lead to an even worse two weeks afterwards. But I really hope that you are further along and that you get to see heartbeat and all!

I know! that is something that has been making me think, but i got my bfp nearly 3 weeks ago so i think i may be at least 6 weeks fingers crossed! Ill let you know when im back and will try and put a picture on
