Best age gap between 2nd and 3rd child?

I have a 27 month old and a 10 week old so there's a 25 month age gap between them. I love being a mum but the smaller age gap is quite hard work atm especially as the youngest isn't really interacting yet and toddler is very hard work. I would like a 3rd but thinking of leaving a slight longer age gap (3-4 years). Anyone have any advice of having a third and ideal age gaps?

No idea if it's ideal yet, but there are 20 months between DS1 and DS2. I'm not pregnant with DC3 and if all goes well there will be about 2.5 years between DS2 and this one.

In my mind it wasn't just about the gap between DS2 and DC3, it was about the gap between DS1 and DC3. As it is there will be 4.5 years between them and I wouldn't really have wanted it much bigger. Plus, I'm old!!

I had three under three which worked out great for me. I like the fact they’ve all grown up together and gone through the various stages of childhood one after the other. I have a baby now as well with a six year gap between DC3 and 4, it was a bit of a shock to my system!

There’s a year between my first 2, everyone said I was crazy but I found them easy as littluns - much harder now they are older and squabble over EVERYTHING (DD11&DS12 now) they were 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 when dc3 came along and that was fine too tbh. Honestly did not find them difficult when they were little!
As with @Pinkfinkle I am now expecting dc4 and there’s 8 years between the youngest so it will definitely be a shock to the system when she arrives (and I’ve found pregnancy much harder the older I get!) but I’m hoping since the others are older I will also get more help 🤷🏼‍♀️ I could be deluded with that thought though 🤣

There's 6 years between me and my sister and 10 between my youngest sister. 3 years between the two youngest. I think that's a good age gap. It means they grew up together. 10 years between me and my sister means we have very little in common and I was more like a parent
