Hi all

I'm so sorry for this as it's really tmi but I'm desperate to get this baby out 🙈

I'm 39 weeks and was given a sweep yesterday at about 2 for a few reasons. They want to induce me but said we could try a sweep first and they'd give it until Monday to see if baby gets going.

Anyway immediately after the sweep I had a lot of wetness and crampy feelings. I then had quite stabby pains (like when baby hits your cervix!) Today I've been having very slight twinges but nothing major (like very light period cramps) and then just now i noticed some weird discharge (sorry!) I'll attach a photo but I assume it's my mucus plug? It's clear and stretchy.

Sorry again 🤦🏻‍♀️ Any advice or stories would be great!

Looks like it might be part of the plug

Yep, looks like your plug. When DS1’s came away I phoned my midwife in a panic (as you do!). After she’d stopped laughing, she said he’d be born within the week - six days later, our he popped. Good luck!

Yep that's your plug! Don't be surprised if there's more of it to come, I was amazed at how much of it there was! My midwife recommended going up and down stairs (carefully) to encourage DD to make an appearance (I had multiple sweeps before being induced eventually for GD). Good luck!

To give you hope, DS1 arrived about 12 hours after I lost mine at 39 weeks. Good luck!

Having very sharp pains now quite low down? They come and go but mainly if I try to walk?

Is this normal? 😳

Just want to know if I'm coming or going 😂
