How long did you wait for a bed to be induced?

I'm due to be induced today and I called as soon as the office opened at 9am this morning, they said there was no beds available and that they'd call me when one became available. It's now almost 5pm and no word, I called but phones just ring out. Feeling fed up Angry. Do they call you throughout the night if a bed becomes available?

Slightly different situation - I was admitted to hospital for induction but then waited three days to be transferred to the delivery ward by which time I was 6cm naturally... so don't hold your breath!
I suppose induction might take a while anyway, so enjoy being at home while you can. Sorry, easier to say than do but good luck and let us know how it goes!

Same as @paperplant went in at 6AM had pessary at 10AM was ready to have my waters broken at 12 but no bed until 9-10PM and even then the midwife left me the whole time they were that busy so basically laboured on my own till the delivery!

So if I was you id hold tight and wait till they are ready for you, if you think your fed up now wait till your giving birth without a midwife 😌 xx
