Just what it says really - I am an FTM (18 weeks) and I feel pops and today a very strange rolling sensation but they're normally in the middle of my abdomen (like halfway between my tummy button and pelvis) and this seems a bit high from what I've Googled?

The first movement I felt was a kick (I didn't get all the lovely bubbly feelings everyone talks about in the beginning) at 20 weeks. It was just under my rib cage on the left hand side. I don't think your movements are too high - my baby moved around ALOT and I felt movements all over the place throughout pregnancy.

That’s exactly the position my baby was in at 12 weeks so no it’s not too high!

Yep that's where I felt the first movements! I was about 17 weeks along.

Around 15 weeks I felt this sensation like a pulse just above my pubic bone. It lasted long enough for me to notice it, compare it to my actual pulse and notice they were different rhythms and then tell DH. After that I didn’t really feel much till around 19 weeks but, since then, I’ve noticed patterns of when I’m likely to feel them such as when I’m relaxing in bed, within 20-30 minutes of eating and if I’m sitting forward or scrunched up for some reason (as if the babies are protesting!!)

I didn’t feel anything until about 22 weeks. And it wasn’t any butterfly type feeling or flutters, it was a full on kick.

It hasn’t waivered since and is pretty much non stop now at 31 weeks.

Don’t worry if you’re not feeling exactly what anyone else does, I had told myself if by 24 week appt I still hadn’t felt much I would discuss with midwife.

Everyone feels things differently. Once I felt my first kick and knew what I was looking for it became more and more frequent.

You’ll work our what’s normal for you and your baby.
