hi all,

I've been posting recently about the hospital telling me my hug wasn't rising enough for my pregnancy to be viable and us being heartbroken, then having a scan where they saw 2 sacs but were empty as its only 5 weeks. We have our next scan on tuesday but in the meantime I've been symptom spotting like crazy!

One thing i've had for 2 days is CHRONIC heartburn, this is something I've had about 3 times in my 36 years, usually after a gallon of wine and a takeaway! My diet is now totally perfect, lots of calcium, dark leafy veggies, a little high fat dairy, nuts seeds and basically everything healthy so no reason for heartburn. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this heartburn is a good sign that in fact both babies are good? This is my fourth pregnancy (no children) and I've never ever had it before!!

also I'm experiencing really weird pulling sensations in my tummy which I've also never had before, do you think this is also a good sign?

My boobs are on fire and so so sore and have already gone up a cup size! plus despite my mega healthy eating my tummy is growing pretty quickly which i know could just be bloat but maybe not.......

Please any thoughts welcome!!!

Your symptoms are the same as I have had when pregnant.
My first pregnancy in October last ended in a miscarriage ( sorry)
I to had a sac but it was empty.
I have had the exactly the same symptoms this time and I’m now 22 weeks.
I hope that is just too early for them to see anything.

Has your hgc risen at all? At 5 weeks the sacs will be mm so it won’t be making your tummy grow. Are there fetal poles in the sacs?

Unfortunately you can get pregnancy symptoms even if the pregnancy isn't viable. When I had a miscarriage in January, my symptoms were actually strangely stronger in the week following losing my baby.

However saying that, it doesn't mean that is the case for you. Fingers crossed it is positive for you and you get good news during your scan

Hi yes my levels are rising:

Thursday 272
Saturday 473 rise of 72%
Monday 712 rise of 50%

I've read lots of stories about people's rising this slowly and the pregnancy being fine?

I think with the information you have to given no one can predict what is going to happen. Why did you have such an early scan?

Hiya,

I had the scan because I've had 3 previous miscarriages so this time they were monitoring my HCG levels every 48 hours until they reached 1500 when they said they would scan. When the levels only rose by 50% they then scanned me and will scan again Tuesday. I'm getting the impression from this site that in the U.S they don't seem to put the same emphasis on HCG as they do in the UK
