Btw you know the cardi you are going to knit for your dd1? I have got the book with that on the front cover (from the library) and am knitting "Bill" for my dd1. I told the baby that it wasn't allowed to come out until I have finished knitting the hood (30 rows to go), thinking a bit of reverse psychology might do the trick only it appears to have taken me literally ... that's how desperate I am getting ...

No I've got this - doing 8-row stripes in mint and (I think) hyacinth - looks really nice but I think I am going to run out of the blue and am not sure which one I bought - still got to do the sleeves yet! I told dd she might have to have just green sleeves with blue cuffs but she was ok about that

And yes, it's heavy stuff! I bet it will take weeks to dry

Have been up to the hospital today to see the consultant. He tried to do a sweep but the cervix is still closed . However the head is fully engaged and he said he didn't think I would get as far as induction - have been booked for one anyway though, next Tuesday.

Right, I need MN vibes please - am hoping that him fiddling around doing an internal might just help - but if not then I need lots of vibes to get this baby moving!!!!

Induction on Tues 31st? I have my scan then to see if baby is still breech.

Because I've been having stop/start contractions since last Thursday (contractions for a few hours, then they stop)

Haven't spotted you this time round, but I remember reading a thread where you were on-off for a few days, something about a ferry and a very long drive to hospital - stuck in my mind for some reason!

Yup - and here we are again, almost two years later to the day

(fortunately I have moved and there is no ferry involved this time; still 27 miles from the hospital though!!)

I hope you have your baby before the induction date, so you can be home for your ds's birthday. They're birthday's will be really close together whatever happens, like my boys are.
