Smaller bump with a girl

I have 2 DSs (11&8) and expecting a girl in September. My bump is a lot smaller than with my boys, did anyone else experience this?

In my family women carrying girls have a much bigger bump and also weight gain. With boys it’s a smaller ‘tidier’ bump.

My bump with DD was much smaller than with my DS even though they were both born very similar weights so in my case I agree, but I know for plenty it's the other way around

I also have 2 DSs aged 11 & 8 and a DD aged 10! Currently expecting another girl and this bump is the biggest by far! I think it all depends on the size of the baby, weight gain, amount of fluid, placental size and placement and also the position little one is laying in! Nothing to do with all the old wives tales.
This time I am only measuring on the 14th percentile too (having growth scans) and last weighed at MW at 27 weeks having only gained 7lbs! I Checked again at home yesterday and actually think I’ve lost weight since then 🙈
Equally this little madam is transverse and the placenta is very low so mw says there’s nowhere else for her to lay, which is why I personally think she has created the biggest bump!

My bump was bloody huge with both my boy and girl.
